Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6045) (Original Air Date 5-25-2004)
Danger Price: Margaret wins ($1699 was Danger Price) ; Bicycle, Dining Room Table, Fireplace, and Vacuum
Hole in One: Michael wins; Dodge Caravan
Range Game: Jamie lost; Player Piano ($7500)
Showcase Showdown #1: Margaret wins with 60 cents
Barker’s Bargain Bar: Michael wins; Bar Set and Clock
Card Game: Katherine lost; Ford Focus ($15,575)
Bonus Game: Tamara wins; Living Room Group
Showcase Showdown #2: Katherine wins with 70 cents
Showcase: Margaret wins; Trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania, Trip to Thailand, Ford Mustang ($45,585 in prizes)
Margaret represented what Bob refers to as a “weird group of contestants”, featuring Katherine and Margaret as the most enthusiastic and those (Tamara and Michael) between them being forced to endure their excitement. Michael’s shirt told the story of his journey from Ohio to Price, which consisted of a flight to Las Vegas, a drive to Sunny California, and a stay of 2 days on 7800 Beverly Blvd. Did Bob successfully complete his inspiration putt, unlike Hole in One’s previous playing? The answer is yes and so did our first Michael! Jamie sporting a Bob Ross-like Afro has waited all his life to meet Bob and his first words in his like long wait were “I like your microphone”. Before taking on the Range Game, Jamie gave Bob a late birthday wish. Margaret took quite a fall on her back after taking a spin of the Big Wheel, but she managed to make it through to today’s Showcase. Our second Michael’s high fives were a little off course from his Barker’s Bargain Bar victory to the beginning of Showcase Showdown #2. 5 games later, Tamara escapes Contestant’s Row to play the Bonus Game. Before Showcase #1, we learn about a problem that’s been bugging Margaret since appearing on today’s Price, she called in sick on her job and by now the boss knows what she’s really been up too. Winning $45,585 on daytime’s most popular show should be the best excuse ever for Margaret’s boss.
Starr was given the chance to keep Lucy the Dog under control as she was being introduced to the Price viewers.
One Wrong Price: Roland lost; Washer/Dryer, Recliner (Wrong Price), and Cradle
Showcase Showdown #1: Roland wins with 85 cents
Check Game: Randall wins (Check for $1750); Pair of Motorcycles ($3928)
Cover Up: Christopher lost; Ford Escape ($20,617)
Hit Me: Judith lost; Dining Room Group
Showcase Showdown #2: Judith wins with 95 cents
Showcase: Judith wins; Dodgers Baseball Camp, TV/VCR/DVD, and Boat ($26,487 in prizes)
Starr was demonstrating the piano that Cynthia would never play due to her failing to flop instead of just flipping. Telling by her continuous jumping in Contestant’s Row, Treffaney had something in store for everyone, which included a plan at conquering Spelling Bee either way (CAR Card and Spelling “Car”). One of the chosen cards got itself a brief close up. Roland representing the peanut capital of the world (located in Virginia) unfortunately believed the price of the Cradle was wrong. Could it be that Roland did that on purpose to avoid winning a Cradle among others? Randall showed off his experience in writing checks during today's playing of the Check Game and yes he actually knows the rules of the game itself. The first 2005 model of any motor vehicle offered Price was the Ford Escape. Judith was very lucky that Mary didn’t bid $1 more than her during the second bidding process in Contestant’s Row. Somewhere along the line, Judith got lost while playing Hit Me. Judith's "hellos" as the Big Wheel was spinning almost sounded like a speech. Nope, no Double Showcase Overbid today!
Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6038) (Original Air Date 5-14-2004)
Range Game: Alan lost; Trip to St. Martins Islands ($6080)
Pathfinder: Mary lost; Ford F-150 ($22,370)
Race Game: Edith wins Flashlights and Stove; Dining Room Table and Dresser
Showcase Showdown #1: Mary wins with 95 cents
Pick A Number: Evangelina wins by picking “5”; Grand Piano ($8295)
Now or Then: Lloyd lost (“Then 1998”); Jukebox
One Away: Mona wins; Ford Focus ($18,195)
Showcase Showdown #2: Mona wins with 95 cents
Showcase: Mary wins; Living Room Group, Sun Glasses, and Powerboat ($18,617 in prizes)
Alan proved that he’s not quite a loyal friend and true by answering Bob’s question on the exact length of time ‘til the range can start again with “24 hours”. Edith of the Navy’s original bid of $450 now in the hands of Evangelina fortunately wasn’t a big mistake for her, but it was a gain for Mary. She may have stumbled a bit with the rules of the Race Game, but Edith did well proving her loyalty to the show. Lloyd and the rest of Paxton, Illinois must really love Bob (according to the “Paxton, IL loves Bob Barker” shirt) as you can tell by him attempting what Denise (of “Team Bob”) did earlier by stepping on stage and then residing at his spot in Contestant’s Row. Bob only threatened to call security on Lloyd. Another reason why Lloyd was in such a hurry arises after he escapes Contestant’s Row. Turns out that he's waited a long time to meet Bob up on stage. Mona celebrates her day of birth on today’s show and wins herself the Price viewer’s ultimate gift! Showcase #2 featured Price’s version of phone psychic Miss Cleo, except this one was in no shape or form a scam.
For those wondering over for the past 2 days, y'all can sigh in relief. Rachel is back on the show!
(Here's something for those interested, even though I'm the opposite of them. During the final edition of "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn", former Price model Nikki Ziering was summoned twice, starting with Kilborn and a guest. Yep, most if not all audience members were in uproar.)
Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6037) (Original Air Date 5-13-2004)
Pushover: Vicki lost; Floor Clock ($6425)
3 Strikes: Stephen lost; Lincoln ($40,732)
Check Out: Lauren wins (by 69 cents); Bedroom Group
Showcase Showdown #1: Stephen wins with 70 cents
Cliffhangers: Dorothy wins (19 steps); Trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Barker’s Bargain Bar: Dorthea wins; Secretary Desk and Sofa
That’s Too Much: Kathryn wins; Pontiac Sunfire ($15,785)
Showcase Showdown #2: Kathryn wins with 40 cents
Showcase: Stephen wins; Kitchen Group, Swimwear, and Boat ($26,738 in prizes)
Introducing the blushing bride of Contestant’s Row Kathryn, who’s future marriage all dependes on whether she escapes Contestant’s Row or not. At first it appeared Vicki was preparing some attack on Bob with her arms, so he avoided her for a couple of seconds (even tried the old dressing room trick) until realizing she was only trying to kiss his famous right cheek. Stephen of Canada’s name was pronounced “Step Pen” as he was called to come on down. Bob assured Kathryn that their entire conversation on her possible marriage was edited out (unfortunately, no) before Stephen arrived in Contestant’s Row. We were all shocked, including Bob that “0” was not the last digit in the Lincoln’s price after hearing Stephen’s obviously wrong guesses. Looks like Stephen want to consider staying in a resting home after getting 4 of the 5 digits right except for that “2”. Dorthea (the other Dorothy) managed to come up on stage after being called to come on down and was walked back to Contestant’s Row in the midst of audience applause. After Dorothy’s win, it was Dorthea’s time to escape Contestant’s Row legally. As expected by some, the wedding is still on for Kathryn after escaping Contestant’s Row at the very last minute.
Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6036) (Original Air Date 5-12-2004)
Lucky 7: Anthony wins; Jeep Wrangler ($18,495)
Punch A Bunch: Christina wins $100 with 4 Punches
Grocery Game: Felicia lost; Trip to Mazatlan, Mexico
Showcase Showdown #1: Christina wins with 90 cents
Barker’s Markers: Forrest lost; Bar Set, Baker’s Rack, and Painting
Money Game: Huong wins; Chevy Aveo ($14,335)
Double Prices: Gregory lost; Spa/with AM/FM Radio ($8600)
Showcase Showdown #2: Huong wins with $1.00 ($1000)
Showcase: Huong wins; Washer/Dryer, Trip to New Orleans, Dodge Dakota ($38,484 in prizes)
For the first time since marrying his wife, something wonderful has come into the life of Anthony shortly after making the request before the eyes of millions. Christina’s winning bid including her lucky #3 (3 kids and 3 grandchildren) won her way out of Contestant’s Row for a little hole punching on the Punchboard. Too bad lucky #3 failed Christina this time after punching out 3 corners of the Punchboard except for the spot located on the top left hand corner. One of the products featured in the Grocery Game was a package of low carbohydrate tortillas. She may have not won by 30 cents on the Big Wheel, but if you multiply that score with the number of Christina’s children or grandchildren, you get 90 cents. 83-year-old John of the audience celebrates both his birthday and wedding anniversary with wife Sylvia on today’s show. Forrest’s run from North Carolina would end at a screeching halt during Showcase Showdown #2 thanks to a relatively short contestant with a big smile under the name Huong. Gregory sporting an arm holding device due injury on a surf board believed to have seen that Spa/AM/FM Radio on a recent show with a price very close to $10,000, but that price in mind cost him victory at Double Prices. According to Roger (no glasses this time), Gregory spinning the Big Wheel was the first time a contestant under the constraints of an injured arm still spun the wheel. Christina used lucky #3 yet again for her Showcase bid. Before our lucky #3 contestant left us, she asked Bob which model is Shane. Her face had plenty of time on camera after Christina’s question.
Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6035) (Original Air Date 5-11-2004)
Plinko: Verla wins $11,000 with 5 Plinko Chips
Eazy az 1, 2, 3: Andrew wins; Desk, Flatware, Daybed
Card Game: Mabel lost; Pontiac Grand AM ($19,145)
Showcase Showdown #1: Verla wins with $1.00 ($1000)
One Right Price: William lost; Hockey Table and Cabinet ($1318)
Any Number: Duchein wins; Ford Focus ($14,765)
Hit Me: Mary wins; Dining Room Group
Showcase Showdown #2: Duchein wins with 30 cents
Showcase: Duchein wins; Digital Cameras, trip to Switzerland, St. Choix, and Japan ($36,340 in prizes)
Bob enters the studio through the audience for the microphone and lets not forget the last high five, this one being from Erika this time. After Verla escaped Contestant’s Row, Bob asked her that all-important question, “Are you drunk?” Andrew the happy bartender didn’t pay any attention to Rich’s prize descriptions just so he can ask Bob if he really beat up Sandler in “Happy Gilmore”. Mindy the Dog was brought forward upon the eyes of the Price viewers. Opal in full blue clothing, sporting a large hat was too over excited to view the outdoor stove up for bids on the Turntable. “C. L. R.!” quoting the audience chanting the item with the Ace that would win Mary a Dining Room Group. Nope, we didn’t lose the last few minutes of today’s show to Rather & Company, thank goodness.
(Shortly after One Right Price, WKRG-TV5 forgot to air their promotions, so Price viewers in the Mobile/Pensacola/Gulf Coast area were left with "darkness" for about 20-30 seconds.)
Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6034) (Original Air Date 5-10-2004)
Most Expensive: Larry lost; Dining Room Table (Most Expensive), Popcorn Cart, and Exercise Machine
It’s In The Bag: William wins $1000
Cover Up: Fannie lost; Ford Focus ($15,872)
Showcase Showdown #1: Fannie wins with 85 cents
Check Game: Crystal wins (Check for $2600); Trip to Canada ($3062)
5 Price Tags: Anne lost (2 Tags): Pontiac Vibe ($18,222)
Coming or Going: Brian wins by “Going”; Entertainment Center and TV ($6618)
Showcase Showdown #2: Brian wins with 80 cents
Showcase: Brian wins; Set of Golf Clubs, Stereo System, and Chevy Impala ($32,592 in prizes)
Larry the popcorn loving exercise enthusiast from Chicago won’t have to worry about getting overweight from all the popcorn after his lost. Nope, William’s wife Phyllis was not responsible for him only winning $1000. Retiree Fannie may have not been a certain other “Fannie” (Flagg), but this one does represent a part of the Southeast region (Louisiana to be exact). Crystal bearing a picture of her child on her shirt successfully won herself a trip back to the home country of Canada the second both Brandi and Erika revealed the trip’s price. Bad news, Crystal’s hometown is not near Canada’s Rocky Resort in Bente and the good news is that she’s never been there. 90-year-old Anne kept her promise to kiss 80-year-old Bob after she escapes Contestant’s Row, which all came shortly after Rich called her to come on down. Nope, no treasure under the stage this time according to the metal detector under the care and control of Rachel. Brian and Crystal were both a nickel short of Anne’s score during their first spins of Showcase Showdown #2.
Magic #: Zuleika lost (Magic # was 1019); Recycling Bin ($1130) and Bed ($2248)
Line ‘Em Up: Andrea wins; Dodge Neon ($15,480)
Squeeze Play: Socorro wins; Floor Clock ($3785)
Showcase Showdown #2: Andrea wins with 90 cents
Showcase: Nicole wins; Dining Room Group, Maid Service, and Snowmobile ($24,118 in prizes)
Due to circumstances beyond my control on modern society, Showcase Showdown #2 and Showcase were not seen in these parts of the North America continent, thanks of the likes of Mr. Daniel Rather and Mr. Donald Rumsfeld. In fact, I was unable to view today’s show, but on the positive side I finally got to experience the outside world for more than 5 hours. So I forced myself to round up details on today’s Price from a certain site that I won’t mention by name. Ah, it feels good to view a summary that’s not confusing and gets straight to the point. That of course refers to the summaries on this site!
Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6032) (Original Air Date 5-6-2004)
Step Up: Brian wins Door Cabinet, Computer, and Dining Room Table (+$1500)
Coming or Going: Bethany lost; Trip to New York ($3874)
On The Spot: Vanessa wins; Pontiac Sunfire
Showcase Showdown #1: Bethany wins with 95 cents
Barker’s Bargain Bar: Shannon wins; Dishes and Motorcycle
Card Game: Matthew lost (within $1000); Pontiac Vibe ($18,220)
Hi Lo: Robert wins; Living Room Group
Showcase Showdown #2: Shannon wins with $1.00 ($1000)
Showcase: Bethany wins; Bedroom Group, TV, and Electric Vehicle ($23,094 in prizes)
Washington’s aspiring actor Brian makes his national debut on today’s show and reveals to all that he’s single after wild reaction from a few female members of the audience. Like single actor Brian, Bethany is also from Washington, creating a mini-version of a Washington convention as Bob called it. On the Spot, hated by some, liked by the silent majority of Price viewers (including me!) finally lost somebody to its mighty black spot. In other words, somebody finally won! Brian leaves us during Showcase Showdown #1 to certain parts unknown in the world of show business. May want to keep tabs on Brian after appearing on today’s Price. During a commercial break, audience member Katie of the Marines got a standing ovation after her return from service in Western Asia. Half a show and 1 Pricing Game later, Matthew bursting with a week’s worth of enthusiasm escapes Contestant’s Row for a little game involving big cards. Erika of Contestant’s Row, meet Erika, Price’s model from now to the very end. Thanks to his wife rubbing her own back, Robert completed Hi Lo’s line up of high priced products with a pain reliever. Showcase #1 was quite a “Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Showcase” (The movie, a Trip to Madrid, Spain, and Chrysler). We end today’s expedition into Price’s excellence with Bethany & Company filling up every last capacity of the electric vehicle. Where to go Bethany, The Late Late Show or The Young & the Restless?
Most Expensive: Rami wins; Treadmill, Cabinet (Most Expensive), and Dining Room Table
Money Game: Nicholas wins; Dodge Dakota ($19,735)
Showcase Showdown #2: Nicholas wins with $1.00 + 15 cents ($6000)
Showcase: Jeanette wins; Living Room Group, Trip to Fiji, Swimwear ($31,461)
Bob confirms that Jeanette actually represents the state of Michigan college (sweatshirt proves that) after jokingly saying that she’s from North Carolina. Neither the audience nor Bob’s failed imitation of The Master’s latest winner of the Green Jacket stopped Sandra from claiming Hole in One victory. Christopher of the Air Force happens to be a pilot for the Thunderbirds air shows. “Monkey Grass”, was shouted by an audience member as Jeanette was about to spin the Big Wheel for a big surprise. After a Bob & Rich conversation in whisper mode, our second Jeanette was called to come on down. Bringing back Plinko for another playing was well worth it today after Jordan’s win of $10,000 with the 3rd Plinko chip and last but not least "the lovely Erika" being the one to give Jordan her other Plinko chips. Not much reaction from the audience after Rami made his decision, but it was probably for the best. “The Power of Thought” (A combination of the minds of Bob, Nicholas, Cameraman Lee, and Roger) was partly responsible for the back half of the truck appearing behind 35. Nicholas (wearing the “Bob is God” shirt) didn’t need “The Power of Thought” to win himself $6000 on the Big Wheel, just the simple thought of giving a shout out to family in the audience, which he did in his own type of manner.
Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6030) (Original Air Date 5-4-2004)
Shopping Spree: Wendy wins ($4000+ to spend); Popcorn Cart, Dining Room Table, Art Supplies, and Clock
Punch A Bunch: Evangeline wins $300 with 4 punches
Any Number: Kara wins; Dodge Neon ($15,720)
Showcase Showdown #1: Kara wins with 90 cents
One Wrong Price: Burnett lost; Guitar, Cast Iron Stove, and Cradle
Let ‘Em Roll: Joan wins with 2 rolls: Ford Mustang
Double Prices: Tad wins; Trip to Jamaica ($6010)
Showcase Showdown #2: Tad wins with 85 cents
Showcase: Tad wins; “Mars Rover Showcase” Washer/Dryer, Hot Tub, Buick Century ($35,642 in prizes)
Wendy the red headed police officer from San Diego used her communication skills with the audience to proceed through the entire spending process of Shopping Spree. Evangeline (interesting name!) also communicated-a-plenty with the audience for advice on the spots to punch on the Punchboard, yet a certain fellow out there would lead to way to her final hole punched after a “Second Chance” slip. Should have listened to Bob saying the audience’s so-called “punch advice” doesn’t make a difference. I believe Kara didn’t want to go down in Price history (courtesy of producer/Price historian Roger) as the second contestant to pick every other digit in a car’s price from the second to the very last, which could explain why she picked “9” before saying “0”. Burnett joins Bob not to discuss more Baltimore baseball, but to play One Wrong Price. Joan of the “Sweet, Sweeter, and Sassy Group” and supporter of the SPCA (on the back of shirt) was one of those few contestants to win Let ‘Em Roll with only 2 rolls. After 5 pricing games, Tad finally escapes Contestant’s Row for the path that would lead him to the Showcase. Tad and Burnett managed to pass Bob’s Big Wheel quiz, except for Sweeter Joan who assumed that $500 is won after the wheel stops on a green section during the Bonus Spin. Showcase #1 featured actual photos of Mars (thanks “Spirit” and “Opportunity”), which have Price’s proof of civilization once existing on the planet, such as a traffic light for vehicles such as a Buick Century and a lounge chair with swimwear for, well y’all get the point. Unfortunately for Tad, he’ll never have to the chance to view the foot arches of the lovely Erika up close while on the boar featured in Showcase #2 that Kara ended up with after passing the “Mars Rover Showcase”. Oh well, Tad became today’s Showcase winner anyway!
(Comments for reruns are still welcome! All comments using the word "bouncy" to describe Erika will be ignored. Just kidding, all opinions are allowed.)
Showcase: Ernest wins; Trip to Miami, Sofa, and A Ford Focus Pair ($35,503 in prizes)
So far Susan has won 3 prizes under 30 seconds, but is one of them the Chevrolet Aveo? For the next 30 seconds of Switcheroo, we witnessed her fiddling around with two digits (except for car’s digit) in order to win all 5 prizes, but decided to leave them alone near the end. Bob was able to remember Susan’s entire second half of Switcheroo, or so it seemed to the audience/viewers. After surviving a punch from Lyndee after bidding $1 more than her, Ernest escaped Contestant’s Row just in time for the latest of many Price is Right Clearance Sales. The legend itself, AKA the Clock Game returns to be played by Ernest's nemesis Lyndee! Ernest VS Lyndee continues into Showcase Showdown #1 with the outcome of sweet victory and revenge for Ernest. Donald of Contestant’s Row assumed the floating hot tub’s actual price to be around $3000, which would be perfect compared to a certain tub Bob had to offer. Quint wanted to know if the TV set is included with the armoire. I guess that clip of Friday’s show featured on the TV through him off a bit. Monte, weighing 222 lbs., future heavyweight champion, defeats the pairs of Pick A Pair, which would lead him to the title bout that is Showcase Showdown #2. Besides Monte earning the title “Future Heavyweight Champion” during today’s Showcase, Ernest earned the title “Earnest the Molar”, reflecting his survival of Lyndee and his eventual revenge thanks to his spin of the Big Wheel.
(Today's rerun featured Erika during her brief career around prizes. Amazing, I still don't see anything wrong with her work, according to a fairly large majority of Price viewers online. By the way, I have 20/20 vision in case y'all were wondering.)
Safe Crackers: Cynthia wins; TV and Karaoke Machine
Cliffhangers: Carol wins (23 steps); Bedroom Group
Cover Up: Anthony lost; Jeep Wrangler ($18,465)
Showcase Showdown #2: Carol wins with 65 cents
Showcase: Carol wins; Exercise Bike, Sofa, and Trailer ($32,896)
Art Sanders was a little off when he said “Bobbbbbbbbbbb Barker!” but still has improved in other areas. John proved very well that he’s loyal and true to the show. Bob even let him have the “2” card from the Pass the Buck, which was used a good luck charm in Showcase Showdown #1. At last, a contestant whose favorite game is Cliffhangers. “He can move $18 dollars safely” Bob referring to the mountain climber. John wanted to change his Showcase bid of $14,000 after Carol’s showcase, just shows that even the loyalist of viewers can sometimes forget or just didn’t realize you can’t. End music was not provided by the “You Know You’re Lazy” Showcase folks.
(Orginally aired on Lincoln's day of birth and now on Friday the 13th.)
Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6018) (Original Air Date 4-9-2004)
Credit Card: Rita lost (Credit Limit $2300) ; Computer, Cradle, Windmill, Fireplace, and Vacuum
Pushover: Steven lost; Trip to Washington, D.C ($6241)
Master Key: Sarafina wins Stemware; Table and Pontiac Sunfire
Showcase Showdown #1: Steven wins with 95 cents
Freeze Frame: Tamara lost; Spa ($4495)
Dice Game: Gregory wins; Chevy Aveo ($14,135)
Now or Then: Patsy wins (“Then” August 1998); Stove, Refrigerator, and Dishwasher
Showcase Showdown #2: Tamara wins with 90 cents
Showcase: Tamara wins; Top-Selling Novels, Living Room Group, and Grand Piano ($21,402 in prizes)
Looks like we’ll have to wait a bit to hear Price’s newest voice, Rich Fields. In the meantime, we must settle for Jim Thornton, since these shows were taped before the final decision was made. For the first time in Rita’s life, she exceeded at credit card’s limit! 18-year old Steven claimed he had seen the show since Bob’s hair was brown. Shortly after, a close up of Bob came about showing his reaction. A beauty from the outside world, otherwise known as Sarafina, who recently celebrated her day of birth escaped Contestant’s Row for a playing of Master Key. Gregory was just plain full of enthusiasm from escape to win after winning the Dice Game thanks to those excellent dice rolls. ”Norman?” was that all-important question Gregory asked after Bob called him that. Guess Bob spoke with Norman during a commercial break before he was called to come on down. Gregory said Bob could call him whatever he wants. No need for a still picture of Gregory before commercials, he still had more to offer for the cameras. Mr. Thornton may have improved in interaction with Bob, but his enthusiasm, if any still doesn’t rank with those of Rich and Randy. By the way, I must thank Randy for keeping the announcer position in good heath during his small, yet excellent reign of announcing.
Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6016) (Original Air Date 4-7-2004)
Money Game: Patsy wins; Chevy Colorado ($22,735)
Plinko: Gretchen wins $1500 with 3 Plinko Chips
Take Two: David (and wife Nicole) win; Dining Room Table, (Guitars + Fireplace = $2619) Wine Fridge
Showcase Showdown #1: Patsy wins with 85 cents
Safe Crackers: Eugene lost (Combination was $570, Camera); Trip to London
Pass the Buck: Connie wins $3000; Dodge Neon
Range Game: Margaret wins; Big Screen TV/with High Definition Receiver ($3398)
Showcase Showdown #2: Eugene wins with $1.00 ($1000)
Showcase: Double Overbid; Sleepware, Bedroom Group, Spa; Clock, Lawn mower, and Buick Century
Analisa’s first bid included some cents, but unfortunately for her that bid in the thousands. Three generations later (according to her shirt), Patsy wins her way up on stage to play and win Money Game. Gretchen held herself still very well until all can hear Rich’s big news that she’ll play Plinko for a chance of $50,000, yet she would later leave with only $1500. After about 1 minute of a Take Two debate between U.S Marine David & Nicole and a wrong choice a 2 prizes, he finally picked the two that added up to $2619. Before David took a spin of the Big Wheel, he gave Bob a gift in honor of all the years of representing the branches of the Service, a medallion. Until Bob gets his reading glasses, he’ll know what words are encrypted on the medallion. Half a show later, the tall-as-Bob’s shoulder Connie escaped Contestant’s Row for a little passing of the buck. Coach Margaret of a small baseball team relied on the manager of her team for the right time to stop the Range Game rang. “…on this Price is Right show” quoting Mr. Rich Field at the end of his description of Showcase #2. Today’s show ends with the usual routine after a Double Showcase Overbid, Bob mingles with the audience and all 3 models (Shane, Rebecca, and Lanisha) wave.
Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6015) (Original Air Date 4-6-2004)
Check Game: Amber lost (Check for $3500); Bed ($3071)
Eazy Az 1, 2, 3: Evan lost; Kitchen Appliances, Chairs, and Motorcycle
On the Spot: June lost; Ford Focus
Showcase Showdown #1: Evan wins with $1.00 ($1,000)
Barker’s Bargain Bar: Kari wins; Floor Clock and Bar Set
Any Number: Michael wins Flatware; Chevy Cavalier ($16,430)
Hi Lo: Michelle wins; Entertainment Center and TV
Showcase Showdown #2: Kari wins with 90 cents
Showcase: Evan wins; Couch, Exercise Equipment, and Trailer ($19,640 in prizes)
Aerospace engineer and Colorado student Amber, who wore a shirt bearing the famous CBS Eye, who also watched Price since age 4-5, kept her 92-year-old great grandmother’s promise of kissing Bob’s right cheek, and made a big mess finishing off the rest of the big check. Unfortunately, she lost thanks to random prices by the audience and a lack of Check Game viewings. Buck the Rin Tin Tin look-alike was brought forward to Price’s audience. Unbelievable, that dog is about 1½ years of age. Evan wanted to know what exactly those two chairs are made of after his Eazy Az 1, 2, 3 lost. Amazing, Bob and June looked almost identical, except for the glasses and lipstick. Yeah, I was talking about June in the latter part of that sentence. By the way, this was June’s 8th visit to Price all the way from the Peach State, which is Georgia of course. $1,000 was quite a-plenty making up for Evan’s previous lost. Kari, whom Bob had a name tag conflict with at the beginning of the show, became today’s first winner and second Showcase Showdown winner. Telling by Michael’s hand gesture, I thought he was going to say “0” being the final digit in the price of that car. After 5 Pricing Games and one Showcase Showdown, Michelle, whose name is the female version of Michael, finally escaped Contestant’s Row after bidding last for an excellent playing of Hi Lo.
(Viewers on the Gulf Coast, including myself were unable to view the rest, or anything post-10:45 AM of today's rerun due to WKRG-TV5's coverage of G.W. Bush's visit to Pensacola, Florida. Only today's full airing of "The Young & the Restless" will be shown for us at 12:45 AM, followed by CBS' "Up To The Minute".)
Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6014) (Original Air Date 4-5-2004)
2 For The Price of 1: Larice lost; Tea Set and Spa
Pathfinder: Erica lost; Chevy Malibu ($21,325)
Clearance Sale: Doyle lost; Wall Clock, Treadmill, and Sofa
Showcase Showdown #1: Larice wins with 85 cents
Time is Money: Blake wins; Bedroom Group
One Right Price: Karen wins; Washer & Dryer and Dining Room Group
One Away: Eric wins; Ford Mustang ($19,145)
Showcase Showdown #2: Karen wins with 95 cents
Showcase: Karen wins; Electric Guitar, Cruise, and Dodge Dakota ($30,594 in prizes)
Today’s Monday, post-Daylight Savings Time Sunday, Rich Fields is still announcing, and unfortunately Lanisha has yet to realize that she’s not right for Price’s model position. Future doc, or so it appears Doyle lost the biggest patient he’s ever operated on, Clearance Sale. While Blake was trying to escape the audience, his rather full-of-youth mother made it to Contestant’s Row before him. She would later make her exit so that soon-to-be contestant Blake can make his winning bid. After his winning bid, Blake would later win Time is Money without any mistakes on the first try. Something special was in store for the birthday of one contestant Karen. A whole different kind of Erica made it on stage, except this one happened to be named without the “a”, so he’s Eric to be exact. With 5 excellent choices and 5 smooth talking “Ladies, do I have (at least) (insert number) right”, Eric was today’s One Away winner. In an attempt to present Lanisha in positive light, she presented the first prize of Showcase #2 while wearing sunglasses and smiled without any sort of grinning. Not enough to make her worthy for a position on Price, but this is some positive start. We end today’s show with a certain birthday girl celebrating with friends after a total of $30,000+ was brought to the attention of her and the entire Price audience.

Jim Thornton's out for now and Rich "Richardson" Fields is in. Remember to vote in CBS.com's announcer poll, from Art to Rich, and also remember we have a big role in the future of Price’s announcing position. Who would have thought that this timeline that nearly destroyed Price’s model position beyond repair would lead up to the latest model rotation (Lanisha, Shane, and Rebecca): Dian Sues/Holly Sues/Pearson-Freemantle Firings/Claudia Quits/. Someday the entire truth shall be revealed to the entire game show community, but first we must leave this awful part of history behind and get back to the best of times of Price, which includes today's show. Robert was among Price’s audience about 20 years ago and reunites with the other Bob that is our Bob of course. Robert (the contestant) already knew about giving a shout of, “That’s Too Much!” proving that he’s truly a loyal friend and true. Adding to this wonderful “Bob and Bob” reunion is a win of $10,000 on the Big Wheel. We end this reunion with a very easy Showcase win, since it was obvious to all loyal friends that opponent David overbid. Hmm, I wonder what Robert was thinking while viewing his prizes with the models in this current rotation? My guess is that he wished Janice, Kathleen, Holly, and even Rod if he had lived a little longer were there.
See y’all next week! (Yep, still applies even for a rerun)
Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6012) (Original Air Date 4-1-2004)

Both Iowa Track and Field teams (Male and Female) caused Elizabeth’s lost. Bob was too late asking Edward not to flirt around 90-year-old Eunice in Contestant’s Row, as he would kiss her on the cheek 3 times. One Pricing Game later, Edward and Eunice were finally separated. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Two of the latest athletic contestants to come on down were Amanda and Jonathan. Both would eventually escape Contestant’s Row to test their non-athletic skills. Eunice pulled an Edward on Bob, this time through words such as “gentleman and satirical elegance”. Bob was the one blowing a kiss, unlike Edward. Another day, another historic moment, we’ve had bids of $800, $801, $802, and $803. The last one was the winning bid for Vanessa. Showcase #1 featured various necklaces, such as the “Mardi Gras Mask” for Candace. We end today’s show with Vanessa and all her cowgirls gathered around the boat in celebration.
Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6011) (Original Air Date 3-31-2004)

Hit Me: Diane wins; Trip to New York
Money Game: Scott wins $196; Dodge Neon ($15,935)
Showcase Showdown #2: Diane wins with 95 cents
Showcase: Diane wins; Wireless Phone, Bathtub, Treadmill, and Ford Mustang ($39,869 in prizes)
6 days later since Jim Thornton began announcing, the viewers finally get have their say now that his was added to the CBS.com announcer poll. Plinko returns for someone to have a chance to win $10,000+ and Dustin was that contestant we were looking for. I have no doubts that 1/4 of regular Price viewers pronounce the name Danielle as "Danny El" thanks to Bob. Diane successfully won Hit Me without first picking a product with the correct price displayed.
Showcase Showdown #1: Grand Game’s Rita wins with 85 cents
Switch?: Tracy wins with a “Switch”; Dining Room Table and Exerciser
Bonus Game: Casey wins; Bedroom Group
Any Number: Laura wins; Ford Escape ($19,847)
Showcase Showdown #2: Laura wins with 90 cents
Showcase: Laura wins; “Beverly Hills Emergency Kit Showcase” Two rings, Trip to Switzerland, and Cruise to the Orient ($39,825 in prizes)
Jim Thornton’s announcing gaps are becoming more noticeable. Representative of Mary Anna, Arkansas (Population 6000) and Grand Game champ Rita reminded me of another well-known lady from the Southeast region. If you’re a regular viewer of Game Show Network’s (excuse me, GSN, why must these cable channels make an acronym their official name?) reruns of Match Game PM/AM/Syndication (73-81), you should know whom I’m speaking of. It’s now safe to predict that Candace shall remain in the modeling position for many years to come after viewing today’s show. The lovely Tracy of “Casey and Tracy” (in conjunction with “Rita and Rita”) didn’t need help from the same audience that would later moan and groan after her decision to switch prices in “Switch?”. Anna the Cat was brought to the eyes of the audience viewing her big green eyes. Laura was part of a group from Ohio, since she wore the “H” shirt in that particular group known through out the show as “OIO” ‘til the very end. After 6 wins in a row, today’s show is the 68th perfect show in Price history. We caught the turntable in rotation after the bid for Showcase #2 was placed. We end today’s show with Laura and the rest of her group reunited as “OHIO”.
Today’s Airing of the Price is Right (#6009) (Original Air Date 3-29-2004)
Make Your Move: Brooke lost; Radio, Cookware, and Trip to Antigua
Hole in One: Gayanne wins; Ford Mustang + 4 Spare Tires
Bonkers: Sarah wins; Spa ($5347)
Showcase Showdown #1: Brooke wins with 80 cents ($1000)
Barker’s Bargain Bar: Happy lost; Chair and Clock
Card Game: Jessica wins; Ford Focus ($16,222)
Cliffhangers: Michelle lost; Seating Group
Showcase Showdown #2: Michelle wins with 95 cents
Showcase: Brooke wins; Dining Room Group, Tennis Equipment, and Ford Explorer ($31,524 in prizes)
I sense small improvement in Jim Thornton’s announcing, but he’s still got a long way to go to reach the announcing of Rich Fields, Randy West, and Art Sanders. Two of the first 4 contestants are Happy and Brooke. One of the contestant coordinators must have been watching USA Network’s airings of the edited version of Happy Gilmore one too many times. Gayanne was so close to that $500 bonus, but missed at the last putt line. Sarah is the latest addition to the short line of contestants who won Bonkers on the first try. This time we witnessed nice and slow play, along with excellent knowledge of spa prices. Gayanne won $6000 on the Big Wheel during a Spinoff/Bonus Spin, yet she didn’t make it to the Showcase. After Bob avoided possible injury by an electric scooter driven by the “Great Haired One” Teri, Happy escaped Contestant’s Row thanks to a bid of $2500. He was probably in his “happy place” during Jim’s description of the scooter. My goodness, Michelle bid $100 on that heart listener featured in Cliffhangers, creating her foreseeable fate (missed by $75). Wonder if he did that on purpose to create an historic moment?
