WKRG-TV5 signal interruption during the opening for less than 5 seconds did not ruin any Price viewers’ day. Another day, another first four set of contestants consisting of 3 ladies + a fellow. Nope, nothing suspicious. Bob almost had a problem with future Grand Game contestant Jeremy’s attempt at correcting his bid of $1401 on a kayak, which was thought to be $1301. Lisa had the knowledge of the concept of Make Your Move, but she made a couple of unfortunate moves with the Sofa and Radio. Jeremy was no problem after escaping Contestant’s Row whatsoever. Even hugged Bob after his $10,000 victory. Garrick representing his group of fellow Marines escapes both the audience and Contestant’s Row during the third segment for a chance at some big dice rolling. Like Bob said, Garrick continued to roll a “2” (excluding a “5”) until he got it right on the fourth roll. Garrick, whom we would find out ranks as a sergeant earns a position in today’s Showcase with 85 cents. Oregon’s very own Crystel (a lovely “Crystal” according to this non-mineral expert typing) waited until a second rotation (and a second time to see price $1976, a patriotic price) to freeze her chosen price, which was about $2000 lower than $6425. One fellow in the audience protested for more male contestants during a commercial break. Since Bob doesn’t carry that responsibility, he left it all in Rich’s hands. Mariah would come on down shortly after this incident. Folks, somebody has finally escaped the black spot of On the Spot, and that would be Kimberly after trying out each path. Viewers may have been concerned about Crytel staying on 65 cents, but her instinct remained positive through Mariah and Kimberly’s spins of the Big Wheel, each resulting in going over $1.00. Showcase #1 featured a production of “The Prizelight Zone”, starring a dark-haired Rebecca Pribonic as a victim of her own home and Ashley in the role of a black & white clown riding a scooter. Our sergeant has another automobile in addition to his Focus won previously.
Some of y'all may have wanted me to mention Mr. Rod Serling when typing about "The Prizelight Zone" Showcase. Well there you go, I just did!

Before our first “Danny-Elle” this year made her grand escape from Contestant’s Row, a piece of cardboard was being held by a member of the audience with words unclear to most viewers’ eyes. David is not only the proud owner of a DVD Player and discs, but also every single prize he’s won with 10 chances to use wisely. Fortunately, he wised up when writing the correct price of $50 on his fourth chance, which the audience and Bob had doubt was there even being its reveal. Bride Amanda’s first thoughts on the items’ prices featured in Now or Then were less than positive, but she would eventually prevail with only one mistake left behind. David managed to surpass his female opponents during Showcase Showdown #1 with a combined total of 20 and 80 cents. “Old Hippie” (see shirt) Mignonette’s style of coming on down consisted of a little dance (Rich laughed after Bob mentioned it) and her version of hopscotch. Speaking of Mig (hope she doesn’t mind this short form), she meant to say $1800 as her bid on the storage shed once containing Miss Pribonic and Miss Tuite, but she mistakenly pronounced it with an extra zero ($18,000). Nether the less, the shed ($600-$700 range) costs much less than either prices and Meighan’s $1 bid won her way up for the biggest decision of her day, whether she’s “Coming or Going” to win a bed. Loyal friends & true George and Connie (in the audience) celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on today’s Price, but it was this fellow who won an extra $500 after going mistake free in the popular Shell Game. We were this close (two Ford Focus price digits left)) to a perfect show again, but unfortunately Deloris had no knowledge of “el-cheapo”, as someone shouted in the audience. George may have missed the 80 cents during his second spin in order to surpass Deloris’ score of 95, but a $500 bonus remains something worth telling friends and family about. David earned himself a Showcase including a 65-inch TV set; perfect for all those DVD movies he won before taking six out of Ten Chances.

Viewers of WKRG-TV5 noticed a change in sound from stereo to mono shortly before Rich introduced Bob. Before Kathleen participated in an exciting start (a chance to win $10,000), she was actually booed by some members of the audience for bidding $1 over her neighboring contestant. For the second time in Year 33, Half Off’s grand prize of $10,000 was not won, which I believe should have happened with the choices of Box #1 & #8 in front of Kathleen’s eyes. Camera was already focused on Charlotte’s section of the audience before Rich called her to come on down, extending her wedding anniversary celebration with husband J.B. Yet another expansion in Charlotte and J.B.’s anniversary plans, a trip to Singapore after conquering Bonkers without neither Bob, nor the audience making her live up to the game’s name. Rebekah representing the group Bob referred to as one of the many bright folks that watch Price only seconds ago appeared to have no idea of which spot in Contestant’s Row belonged to her. After Rebekah became the third contestant in a row to escape from the right end of Contestant’s Row, some coincidental humor between Cover Up and her shirt revealing the mid section (stomach for the rest of y’all). Showcase Showdown #1 featured a 3-way tie on 85 cents, later a small move of the Big Wheel by Charlotte in which very observant viewers may consider “cheating”. If it were, she would’ve been likely to spin again. Bob noticed audience member Lawrence sitting in the front row wearing a shirt offering chauffeurs service for Price’s Rachel after viewing the Year 32 show featuring her Lucky 7 collision. I still have the feeling Year 33 will mark the disintegration of the dark cloud over Price’s modeling position and Rachel is leading the way. Peggy of the “Terrible Trio”, as Bob called today’s first 3 contestants besides Kathleen, finally escaped to play One Right Price, followed by Any Number’s Keith. Salah (excellent name to say) ended the breakup of the “Terrible Trio” for one unlucky young lady who wanted to change her bid (to a winning one) earlier, but was too one second too late and Charlotte was the one to escape. Showcase #1 gave Price the chance to fight back against today’s examples of prime time “game shows”, such as Fear Factor, Joe Millionaire, and American Idol (produced by Fremantle Media which stole, er I mean bought out Mark Goodson Productions during the Pearson years). After winning said Showcase in which Salah passed, Kathleen earned herself a handshake from our announcer Mr. Rich Fields.

Bob was right, our first on stage contestant carrying the female version of “Bob” (Bobbie happened to be my guess of who escapes Contestant’s Row first) indeed knew how to play Pushover and will take a trip to Portugal. All Alisa had to do was bid $1 more than Chris in order to view a Lincoln LS up close. I must assure viewers who haven’t seen the show in months or years that the 3 Strikes bag no longer has that number of strikes, as it seemed when Alisa’s first two pulls struck her down. It was the misplaced Icy Hot Patch, or “Ice Hot Patch” as Bob called it that caused today’s second big disappointment, this time involving a young lady from Catskill, New York. After Alisa gave her young supporters mention, Bobbie joined the disappointment club when the Big Wheel was one peg away from $1.00. Bob promised us winners during the second half of today’s excursion. Anthropology and Biology are among what double major/”Student of Price” Jeremy is studying. Well folks, I finally decided to add “Bigger Bargain” beside my description the right prize to be (or not to be) chosen in Barker’s Bargain Bar. After acknowledging the fact Chris has been in Contestant’s Row since the very beginning (and that he’s at Studio 33 not to make friends, but to witness Price up close and personal), Bob gave us some insight into Randall and his shirt. Randall may be happily married, but according to his shirt he has a liking for anyone in Price’s modeling position. The wife’s shirt was similar, only it stated she has a liking for Bob. No need to worry about their marriage, just a little humor planned in advance before attending today’s show. Oh, Chris escaped Contestant’s Row at the very last moment! Unfortunately, Chris fell victim to being one peg short to beating Jeremy’s score of 90 cents by a nickel. Kamisha’s Showcase #1 featured a confused astronomy teacher, Milky Way (King Sized) bars, and a Mercury Marquee.

At the moment I noticed Spencer’s facial expressions as he was among the first four contestants to come on down, I had a good feeling that in a minute he would be on Bob’s side on stage. For the second time in 2004, Bob referred to the audience as an “unruly mob”, which he gained plenty of applause. No doubt Spencer was a favorite both in and outside Studio 33. First, we had to let Jennifer win her way to the birthplace of Jazz (Mobile, Alabama holds the title of “Mardi Gras’ Birthplace”) which shares the name of France’s “Orleans”, except for the “New” part. It was actually more than a minute in which Spencer manages to escape Contestant’s Row for a chance to be $500 richer (which never happened), a proud owner of a Dodge Caravan, and the opportunity to show a national audience his putting skills. Bob’s inspirational putt for Year 33 resulted in missing the hole, but it did not severely effect Spencer’s golfing. Maybe aiming for the hole Tiger Woods’ style, but not his golfing. After a much improved putt during the “Or Two” portion of Hole in One, Spencer gave viewers and Bob a reaction similar to his previous one after the big doors revealed a Caravan. Besides backstage staff in the producers’ booth, CBS page Scott (who protected Bob late in Year 32) was seen as the camera captured Spencer up and on the stage floor. Howard the first piece of today’s upcoming “Bald Fellows’ Showcase” escaped both his audience seat and Contestant’s Row spot to deal with another couple, a couple of Take Two prices. Howard finished Take Two without any mistakes. Spencer was close to creating a 3 way tie durubg his first spend, but failed to beat the score of 75 cents both Howard and Jennifer earned. Tiffany, whom Bob referred to as a “pretty little girl” (which can also be said about Lucy, who unfortunately remained in Contestant’s Row until the end) before her prizes were revealed, said she ruined a perfect show. Fortunate for her she was not today’s only contestant to lose in a pricing game. During the commercial break, Bob actually saved the marriage of the once-former couple of James and Rose wearing “Ex-Husband and Ex-Wife” shirts. Before telling us the good news, Bob’s words were “Doctor Phil (McGraw), get out of the way here I come!” After three “2 & 4” cards and a variety of other cards in his deck, Jacob’s bid in Card Game turned out to be much less than the car's actual price. Ronald was the last piece to fit alongside Howard in today’s Showcase. I wonder if Rich was referring to either this or another popular Price website when saying "post on your favorite web site" during Ronald's Showcase?
Well folks, the first week of Year 33 has come to an end! Despite interruptions on both sides of the Rocky Mountains, Price viewers everywhere were able to catch moments worth their memory bank and VHS tape. Year 33 continues until next June and no signs of slowing down are expected. Right now, Mr. Redd Foxx is smiling in the afterlife after Spencer pulled his famous false heart attack schtick from "Sanford & Son".

Gustavo representing the state of California demonstrated how to properly use an imaginary golf club before choosing the Golf Clubs as the item with a wrong price tag. Viewer for life (since age 2) Daynn reaches the stage and was only 2 out of 3 punches away from a $10,000 slip held by a tightly self-secured Bob. Lucky for Daynn (sorry folks, no time for “day in and day out” humor), the slip was not $5000 or it would have been tossed out. Daniel descends and ascends from bellow the stage to play Any Number for something more than a Ford truck. Yep, Daniel fooled everyone at Studio 33 into thinking he would actually win that truck ($1 ,298) and suddenly went for the Rocking Chairs. Another historic moment according to Bob, the Big Wheel’s green sections “5” and “15” were switched. Looks like Roger and the crew wanted Bob’s skills of noticing errors tested. Either that or somebody purposely wanted an historic moment to occur during premiere week. Brianna won’t be “Going” to Alaska by cruise ship with a supposed $5143 price tag at all. Charlotte didn’t need any “That’s Too Much!” training to say what Bob considered “beautiful” in the end. Paulette, a 19-year veteran of the Marines (plenty of USA chants in the audience earlier), who’s latest non-Service assignment was to play blackjack in the form of a pricing game, conquered the House and said hello to a portion of her family, even a whole different Joan Crawford. It was until after the break that Paulette would finish greeting the rest of her crew back home, which came after losing to Charlotte. Tony the Dog was the first pet up for adoption featured in a Year 33 show. Brought forward to the Price viewers by Ashley, Tony’s hair was actually furnished for the big moment by Price’s very own hair stylist.
Price viewers in the Eastern/Central time zones were lucky today, as minutes after today's show ended another Bush-related special report would air.

Yep, no CBS News Special Report countdown today, we’re back to basics! Bob made sure the audience doesn’t tell Tennessee’s very own Clayton that he unwillingly bid bellow Valencia by $1. Valencia had the right name at the right time and the perfect reaction whenever a Ford Escape is revealed. 10 seconds and a few cries of joy later, Rich finally got to describe her prize. Valencia’s first 2 cards had special meaning, which revealed “A” and “R”. It was until the 5th car that we finally found the “C”. Thank her good will Bob’s encouragement to take $500 and leave did not work this time. Bethany comes on down and up for a little safe cracking. She succeeds in all 3 areas today! Clayton bid carefully this go around, earning the chance to play the legendary Clock Game. According to Bob, Clayton’s world around him stopped as he was closing in on the Curio Cabinet’s price. Nothing similar occurred, as he was so close by very little nearing the numbers 999 as the Sofa’s price. Lieutenant and Naval Aviator (as Bob discovered) Amy joins Contestant’s Row for the day. Victor actually asked if the mattress comes with that Bed he lost? All Lucille had to do when Rich called her to come on down was sit up from her front row seat. Venissa risked everyone she’s won on her 3rd card thought to be anything but “Lose Everything”. Lobster tennis ball machine joins us for Year 33, with Ashley swinging the racket. Bob made a “3 strikes and she’s out” (not referring to the pricing game) comment shortly after. Victor’s Showcase #1, which he bid way belong on, featured a clumsy Rebecca before a trip to London was revealed. After Victor’s Showcase price was revealed, Bob found it safe to say Valencia is today’s Showcase winner. Speaking of “safe”, it’s safe to say Mr. Rich Fields will always appear at the end of each show.
To the fellow in the audience who continuously “wolf whistled” whenever Teri, oh I mean Gabrielle (even at Bran, er I mean Rebecca once) showed up during today’s show: Nowadays the modeling position is under a dark cloud and its foundation is very unstable. For the sake of the show’s health (in Mommy Dearest mode: No....new...lawsuits!), only whistle whenever a majority of the audience is applauding.

Once again, tough luck for viewers in the Eastern and Central Time zones as a certain world leader with something against Price spoke for about a half-hour in front of an international audience. Future Dice Game contestant Astrid gyrated her way down to Contestant’s Row in a slow and steady matter. Paul representing the Navy’s USS O’Brien presented Bob a small gift bearing the ship’s symbol. He would later ask whether the trip to Ireland would be first class or coach? “Coach” according to Mr. Rich Field’s copy. Astrid began her playing of the Dice Game on a “pitiful roll” as Bob called it as the audience began the boo her. Unfortunately, the second digit in the Pontiac’s did not turn out to be “4” as Astrid had in mind after rolling a “5” first. Andrea, one of the first few contestants to come on down, whom I wanted to win her way on stage more than others, finally did it and was rewarded with a playing of Bullseye for another prize. Paul would tie Astrid’s score of 70 cents after Andrea went over on the Big Wheel. I clapped a couple of times during Andrea’s spin of the wheel. Kolby’s (unseen by Central and Eastern viewers earlier) Showcase #2 featured The Price is Right Department Store’s elevator. Astrid’s Showcase bid may have been way bellow the actual price, but lucky for her Kolby’s bid was slightly over. While Astrid and her crew wearing green shirts with the number “30” were celebrating, Rich Fields can be seen alongside the red head model whom I assume is Miss Rebecca Pribonic (no comment on last name). Speaking of this position on Price still under clouds thanks to Miss Hallstrom, Miss Parkinson, and the folks at Pearson (now Fremantle Media), there’s already a change in the line up in Year 33. We have an Ashley (not contestant Ashley from Year 32), Gabrielle, and of course Rebecca. Previously I assumed Gabrielle was no other than “The Great Haired One” Teri, but it was until today’s Showcase when Rich reminded viewers with that assumption in mind. Suddenly, finding it nice to see a different face in that position is becoming difficult. There’s always the chance that Year 33 could mark the return of a more stable trio in the modeling position.

Like Mr. Rich Fields, our announcer from today to the very end, today marks the beginning of Price’s 33rd year on old, yet a full of youth looking Columbia Broadcasting System. Kathleen the bearer of a “Barker 33” shirt won herself Year 33’s first prize (Trip to Mazatlan, Mexico, as presented by Rachel) and the chance to play Triple Play. Unfortunately, the Corvette’s price was not higher than all given prices. First mistake of the year: Bob forgot to reveal the actual price of the Pontiac, yet he would later correct himself after referring to John as our second contestant to reach the stage before Rich summoned him. Lance takes the title of “second contestant on stage” before earning himself 4 more Plinko chips. Fourth prize in this year’s first playing of Plinko was a picture frame featuring a black & white photo of Bob beside the wheel. Rich is right, either family or loved one (Bob for example) would be a great fit for the frame, if the photo actually fits properly. After receiving his Plinko chips from Miss Cole (awkward smile remains, but her modeling has improved a bit), Lance literally “spun it (Plinko chip) that way” as Bob put it. The entire audience was asked to remain silent, which gave Lance enough concentration to win himself another $1000. Darlene’s gifts in honor of her 70th year of life were a pair of prizes beside a more expensive one. At this point, Jean of Contestant’s Row would remain down there until the end. If only she’d had bid $1 on Mazatlan, Mexico earlier, viewers would have witnessed one fun lady. Mary assumed two digits between $10-$20 would count as “El-Cheapo”, but she would eventually find the correct digits conquering Money Game. John finally escapes Contestant’s Row as our 6th on stage contestant this year. Noella may have been the first to be booed by the audience during Showcase Showdown #2, but they knew by fact that Mary is advance in age, so Bob managed to help her spin the Big Wheel. Darlene’s Showcase #2 had a Year 33 theme, which even acknowledged Price’s very own Studio 33 now known as “The Bob Barker Studio”. After John beat the odds against him, everyone from Price’s on air staff to John’s family & friends, and lets not forget Rich Fields joined around the well designed Year 33 cake.

Amazing! Rich Fields didn’t introduce Bob before and after making his entrance. The legendary Clock Game returns to take on another contestant and that would Kara, who happened to be the game’s latest slayer thanks to having her game knowledge and course remaining a loyal friend and true. After realizing what he was getting himself into, along with Bob referring to him under the lines of a “crazy kid”, Jason gets back to playing with the Eazy Az 1, 2, 3 blocks. Unfortunately, he didn’t think about the Washer & Dryer possibly being the 2nd most expensive prizes. Rodney of the audience performed a song for all at Studio 33 during a commercial break. Would have been interesting to hear Rich sing, but he must save that voice for Janie (fan of David Letterman) to come on down. Even when the entire audience was silent for Janie to communicate with her older sister, she had no idea which item Janie should choose next. Dixie may not be leaving for “The Heart of Dixie”, but Rio is still a nice city to visit. Dorita managed to make Anna stay put in Contestant’s Row after her attempt of coming up on stage. Both Dixie and Janie began their spins of the Big Wheel on a bad note. Yep, Bob helped these two young people spin. Jason ends this week by winning a patriotic Showcase! Due to CBS’ split screen credits & promotions; none of the viewers were able to see our Rich on stage. Better luck next time!

Charlotte of Georgia’s winning bid of $900 on a popcorn cart was a far cry from her Contestant’s Row neighbor’s bid of $2100. Not even 48-year-old grand pappy Marcell can shock Bob, since there have been plenty of contestants such as him behaving like grandchildren. Marcell would later show the energy of a grandchild after conquering the Plinko board with $21,500. Lindsay successfully won herself a Pontiac without any mistakes (the only mistake made was by the sound folks before Bob even asked if her choices are right). So far, so good, 3 winners in a row and Marcell’s the lucky one to spin his way to today’s Showcase. Arizona’s Sherry, a loyal friend & true since the crib was truly ready for the stage. One bid later, she escapes for a playing of Double Price. Bob was close to getting hit by a tennis ball courtesy of the well-known Lobster Tennis Ball Machine (under the control Rachel, or was that Teri. Could it be that Lanisha’s smile burned my eyes previously?). Michael seemed to know how Ten Chances, but from Chances 2-10, he was slowing going downhill. Another close encounter with one of the big doors, this time involved Teri in a small vehicle up for bids. Georgia Bull Dog fan Lauren, the other little girl (other than Sherry, according to Bob) went over the Grocery Game’s $20-$21 range by 57 cents. Showcase #1 featured Lanisha and Teri in young girl clothing pondering over questions such as “Where Do Fins Comes From?” The answer is Finland, silly “Jillies” (The female version of “Silly Billy”). Sherry ends today’s show with a Showcase bid difference in the $400-$500 range. Enjoy grand pappy hood, Marcell!

Mr. Rich Fields still had plenty of enthusiasm when repeating this particular model of Chevy trucks. From a state of excitement to a state of shock & joy capped off Claudia’s Pathfinder victory. Unfortunately, Claudia’s streak of excitement wouldn’t go pass Showcase Showdown #2. Mary tried pulling one of Claudia’s moves as she escaped Contestant’s Row. Andrea a resident of Kansas would rise from the check out counter of Check Out to a Showcase featuring a variety of trips.

It only took 8 simple steps to Joy’s namesake! Nope, Mima of Contestant’s Row is no jeweler just because she asked for the brand name of those jewels brought down from the ceiling of Studio 33(Crouton Jewels). Before Kristi got to play One Right Price, she mentioned her recent engagement just a day before the show. Her shirt and (real) ring proves all of that.
(WKRG-TV5 broke into today's Price rerun at 10:32 PM after covering Gov. Bob Riley's speech at a Robertsdale emergency center. The irony of today's airing is that CBS News took on the second half of today's rerun during its original airing.)

Gary, a proud Kentucky resident in full blue takes a chance at shopping in this part of Sunny California. While celebrating her day of birth, Mary Ann’s playing of It’s In The Bag may have been worth 1 commercial break. Too bad it was all for nothing once the second item priced $12.00 was revealed. Ronnie the student nurse and future care worker of Bob (including other Price staff) was 2 (Pricing Games) away from playing One Away. Ronnie’s win of $1000 on the Big Wheel made up for the 1 half’s losses, but what does the 2nd have in store for us? #27 Tyra (see jersey) was unfortunately defeated by the ever so tough Squeeze Play. 80-year-old Joseph wore a shirt featuring pictures of his “Barkers” (Dogs) for today’s special occasion. Beverly of Contestant’s Row finally escapes to the rescue of today’s show. That’s right, this "First Four" lady actually saved the show! Before today’s rather complicated Showcase Showdown #2, Bob reminds us of 67 out of over 6000 shows not having at least 1 winner. Reason for Showdown #2 being sort of complicated? All 3 contestants tied for a Spin Off and Joseph made it through as a $1000 winner. Two $1000 winners face off in today’s Showcase, featuring license plates and “Hot Spots”.

Donna’s bid of 1999 may have been a good year for Price, but it was the year 1964 that granted Rachel’s escape from Contestant’s Row to do a little shopping with plastic. Perfect time for the “32nd Year” picture featured on Rachel’s new TV set, since this was the final show taped for Year 32. Rich was for sure he can call Ronald to come on down, or should I say “back on down”. Ronald removed his hat to show off his well-done hair. In spite of some weirdo groups of the audience (Maureen wearing a “Marry Me Bob” shirt and a group claiming their puppets sneaked in) and professional lighting men forgetting where the switch for the brightest light shining on Bob is, the show must go on. Sadly for Price's very own sweet Mary Ann, she picked 2 price tags other than the cheapest featured. Oregon of Las Vegas (see shirt) collapsed as she was coming on down, but managed to get up with applause from the audience and a “welcome to California!” from Bob. Ronald a loyal friend & true for Georgia “stays” instead of making a switch. I guess the "Clock" sign couldn't handle Rachel's strength, explaing its fall. A great surprise to Bob indeed, as Maureen was called to come on down. After her frightening life long admiration for Bob previously, it was time to summon a CBS page to protect him from this particular lady. Bob was so frightened of Maureen that he interrupted Rich as he was describing the plug in. Johnsie may believe That’s Too Much is the hardest game on the show, but she sure knows how to play. Besides, plenty of winners left this game with a car, all part of Bob’s encouragement for Johnsie. Only one flaw during the game, her shout of “That’s Too Much!” was below average. All of Ronald’s prizes were provided by Price’s very own pet hotel (all pets spayed or neutered). He was up and ready for the Dodge Ram, but first he must do the following: Join his crew and hug each model. Don’t worry, Rich was able to join!
(It would be excellent if Colin and Jesse make their return to this site shortly or even on premiere day of Year 33. They can't be that busy, can they folks?)

Patrick a recent high school graduate for Colorado listened to the audience’s chant of “$1201” and said that winning bid on a combination Refrigerator/Freezer. Bob asked our future college student about his prize plans and it turns out Patrick won’t be doing much cooking in his dormitory. Rich tried his best to make a winner out of Steven, but throughout today’s show he struggled make the big escape out of Contestant’s Row. Carmen the Dog was brought forward to the eyes of Price viewers and she already has at least 2 admirers in the audience. Wonder if she’s still up for adoption today? 18-year-old Amy, another future college student, a loyal friend & true, unfortunately needs a job to earn money to further her education in order to find an excellent career in life. Cora looked like a winner in the eyes of Bob and she turned out to be a big winner indeed. Why a “big winner” you may have asked? She had all 5 numbers right on the first run through One Away. Along with golf clubs and luggage, Patrick has no need to worry financially about college with $6000 to spare. Squeeze Play earns itself another lost, with one less visitor to Bangkok to show for. Steven showed his desperation by relying on 2 sides of the audience. Linda assumed the Ford Escape is around $29,000 since it’s a 2005 model, but it was that mistake that sealed her fate. Aaron, a “First Four” contestant, surprisingly escapes Contestant’s Row and a picture perfect “Row Hug” for a little bargain hunting. Linda surprises herself with a score of 95 cents on the Big Wheel. Showcase #1 featured a sparkling dress on Rachel’s person. The Price is Right Train Depot returns with Teri as your conductor. Mr. Rich Fields makes his latest appearance on stage, this time congratulating Linda. Nice suit by the way!

Shortly after Jamie’s unfortunate lost, Bob gave her the good news that she’ll be spinning the Big Wheel in the upcoming Showcase Showdown. Before Frank said his winning bid, Bob summoned Matthew to show off the latest in clothing, a small shirt revealing his tummy (or belly). If Bob ever decides to do the same, expect him to do a couple or more sit-ups before revealing what Matthew showed us. A Chevy Aveo is one of those prizes Bob loves to give to a sailor (especially on his day of birth) and the Navy’s Frank successfully won this car on the first roll. First time all 5 cubes showed a car on the first roll, without a single one falling to the floor. In a way, history was made! After winning himself a $500 bonus for his perfect bid, John gives folks in the game show fanatic community a throw back to Ed Long from the famous (or infamous) Press Your Luck shows featuring Paul Michael Larson. Bob was close to giving John the send off until today’s Showcase before he realized that John has a bonus spin to win up to $10,000 or $5000. Surprise! Matthew escapes Contestant’s Row with lots of applause and whistling. After our mountain climber’s fall to the jagged rocks below, Bob compliments Matthew on his stomach looking good for television. Sara the schoolteacher wins herself a 2005 model of Ford Focus. Rich was sure that our next contestant to come on down is a lady and that would be San Francisco’s Rita. One bid later, our lady from “Frisco” escapes to win (not rent) a center for all her entertainment needs. Matthew and Rita dropped out like flies in Showcase Showdown #2, paving Sara’s way to today’s Showcase. Showcase #2 was dedicated to the Stars and Stripes on this Flag Day, including red, white, and blue swim clothing on Rachel’s person. We end today’s show with Sara being congratulated by; you guessed it (really?) Mr. Rich Fields our announcer.

There was no doubt in Bob’s mind that Daniel is winner #1, considering the very low difference in Price on the sofa ($200). Members of the audience chanted “Plinko” shortly after Rich told Doris the good news. Today’s Plinko winnings may not compare to yesterday’s rerun total of $10,100, but $2500 is still a whole lot of loot for Doris. Corey of Murphy’s Burl, Tennessee listened to his wife’s mother Bessie for advice to not go for the Pontiac Sunfire. Bob can see this type of relationship between son-in-laws and mother-in-laws last many years from today. Lauren of Contestant’s Row shortly joined her fellow contestants before Lanisha was summoned to come on down while showing off her ring finger. I applaud the decision for a change in her hairstyle, since the previous one practically burned my eyes every time. She may be easier on the eyes (particularly mine), but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s most worthy of a much regular position on Price. Unfortunately for Daniel, who even tried leaving Bob’s side to stand under the Showcase Showdown scoreboard before the Big Wheel even stopped, listened to old Bessie to spin again. His fate was sealed at that very moment. Our audience’s very own contestant coordinator didn’t decide Corey’s fate of going over in the Showdown. Air Force representative Adam (of Erie, Michigan) picked a price that his mother would pick in Double Prices. Looks like Cancun remains the only Mexican place Adam has visited. Luis, a favorite among the screaming females of the audience, a winner of the Desk Set, always wanted to spin the Big Wheel since he was a little boy. Today’s Showcase #2 featured “falsettos”; the best according to this writer’s very humble opinion belongs to Rachel. Both Showcase contestants’ bids were quite low, but Toronto’s very own Sarah prevailed after Bob revealed her Showcase’s actual retail price. We end this week’s original shows with our announcer Mr. Rich Fields walking on stage to congratulate Sarah. That’s right, CBS decided to hold the split screen credits for a few more seconds.

Douglas of Pennsylvania may have won a kayak, but a certain thing called a Pontiac Sunfire would have been more practical. No time to explain Amanda’s group The Traveling Nurses, since this is only an hour show. Only the studio audience got to hear Amanda’s “nurse tale” during a break. After escaping Contestant’s Row, Breana’s greetings to friends & family were a throw back to "This is Your Life”. Elsie of the great state of Alabama (Montgomery) made the run from audience to Contestant’s Row to the Grand Game and finally the CLR cleaning product. Jerald who lives 600 miles from Montreal will travel to Mazatlan first for 2 obvious reasons: 1. He’s from Canada. 2. He even made a little trip to the artwork of Mazatlan featured in 1 Right Price. Thanks to memories of his drill sargent in the Air Force, Roger delivered not 1, but 2 well done shouts of “That’s Too Much!” A win of $1,000 on the Big Wheel made up for Roger’s previous lost, which would give us another Roger victory run around the stage, along with 4 high fives. After our traveling nurse’s Showcase price was revealed Roger assumed that he didn’t bid close enough to his, but later it would revealed that he did indeed. Yet another victory run, plus celebrating with his crew, and last but not least a victory salute capped off the show. The Price viewers return the salute!

Roger, along with plenty of audience members got the chance to high five Bob. Starr got to shine as the one presenting Jennifer those 3 extra Plinko chips. Fredrick was well dressed for today’s playing of the Race Game, from the shorts to the tennis shoes. At the sound of Bob’s "bang!", Fredrick took it nice and easy to place those price tags beside their rightful items. After completing that task, Fredrick was quick on his feet to pull the lever to reveal that he’s won all 4 prizes. During a commercial break, an Arizona nudist colony was discovered among the audience, yet they were actually wearing some clothes. It was “El-Cheapo” I tell you, it was 05 that fooled Karen! Rich even bet that she would want that Pontiac Vibe. Unlike yesterday’s big fall, Jennifer managed to stay up after spinning the Big Wheel. From the moment Bob saw Shirley come on down, he knew this lady can be dangerous to him. After nearly attacking Bob before Safe Crackers was revealed, Shirley gave him a small hug meaning no harm. Representing the loudest group so far in the audience, Cynthia escapes both the group and Contestant’s Row to face another odd pair of opponents, a couple of price choices.
