Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6098)
(Original Air Date 11-9-2004)

Lucky 7: Emily wins ($1 left); Ford Explorer ($28,523)

Plinko: Billie wins $500 with 4 Plinko chips

Danger Price: Johnny lost; Convection Oven, Recliner (Danger Price: $599), Popcorn Machine, and Stemware

Showcase Showdown #1: Billie wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Switch?: Eric wins with a “Switch”; Golf Equipment and Dining Room Table

Now or Then: Scott wins (“Then” June 1996); Trip to Atlanta

One Away: Kory wins; Pontiac Vibe ($18,720)

Showcase Showdown #2: Eric wins with 85 cents

Showcase: Billie wins; “Customer Service” Showcase, Garden Equipment, Hot Tub, Cruise of Scandinavia ($25,025 in prizes)

Sorry folks, this “Johnny” among today’s first four contestants is not among the “Moore” variety. Virginia native turned Arizona resident Emily tested her future automobile’s stability of carrying her new Kayak before trying her luck at keeping at least 1 out of 7 one-dollar bills. “Everybody think ten!” says Billie carrying a stuffed Texas long horn for luck before 3/4 of her Plinko chips ended up in the “$0” slot. After today’s show, expect Billie to meet Bob out in the Television City parking lot since she admitted on air to also being single & widowed. “Johnny the Anniversary Boy” escapes Contestant’s Row to extend his 32nd wedding anniversary as Catherine in the audience witnesses a possible quad of gifts in store. No more anniversary gifts, but attending today’s edition of Price will be something cherished between the couple for hopefully the next 32 years. We eventually found out that Billie’s stuffed Texas long horn doubles as a gift for Bob, no wonder she continued to hold on until her bonus spin of the Big Wheel. 3-year veteran of the Navy Eric (stationed near San Diego) surprised all that he actually works on nuclear missiles and he, along with his fellow crewmen actually play golf (see “Switch?” prizes) on a submarine’s stern. Kory Blackwell the latest member of Contestant’s Row appeared frightened in his group of Virginians (mostly female) back of the audience, according to Bob’s eyes. Handy binoculars were the latest items up for bids to come on down, from the ceiling to clarify for some. No more worries for Kory, as he travels back to Virginia alone in his brand new Pontiac. As for his Virginian crew, they’re likely to travel home by airplane. It was actually Scott’s mother who made him a Price loyalist, not the grandmas or even his buddy Sean who joined in on the journey to today’s show. Billie’s Showcase featured a telephone, Rich as a customer service representative, and of course the worried customer. Eric’s Showcase bid of $20,000 happened to be one “0” short due to an error, but it never changed today’s outcome. Billie earned the chance to say Bob’s daily reminder of pet population control after finding out Eric went over.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6085)
(Original Air Date 10-21-2004)

Spelling Bee: Nicholas wins (5 Cards); Pontiac Vibe

Clock Game: Kali wins (8 Seconds Left) Grill ($849) and Dining Room Table ($899) (+$1000)

Most Expensive: Rebecca wins; Golf Clubs, Speakers, and Cabinet ($2037, Most Expensive)

Showcase Showdown #1: Nicholas wins with 95 cents

Bullseye: Marcus wins ($11.12); Trip to Jamaica

Line ‘Em Up: Suzette lost; Lamps, Trimmer, Game Show Home Board Games, and Chevy Cavalier ($16,345)

1 Right Price: Brian wins ; Bar Set ($3397) and Painting

Showcase Showdown #2: Brian wins with 85 cents.

Showcase: “Ridiculous Insurance Policies in the World” Showcase, Brian wins; Bicycle, Hot Tub, and Boat ($25,256 in prizes)

“$1450, I like you Bob!” was Kali’s response after a rather unique TV was revealed for our first four bidders. When Nicholas was asked for his next number on the Spelling Bee board, Bob asked “all the gray haired” members of the audience if they remember the question “number, please?” asked by another human being on the phone? Our redhead Kali from Seattle (bearing a shirt featuring scenes from “Happy Gilmore”) earned herself an extra 5-seconds in the Clock Game after confusing Bob shortly after the moment she said “$860” on the Dining Room Table. Rich had a good laugh after Bob requested 30 more seconds for Kali. Marcus’ nametag is in need of a nurse, because for reasons unknown it’s been ripped. Georgian peach Rebecca wearing a Georgia Tech shirt left today’s first half a perfect one. After Russell the Yellow Ribbon Dog (was getting a taste of his handler’s ear) was introduced, Marcus bearing a new name tag admits to “not knowing anything about anything” before conquering the Bullseye with 8 Honey Huns. According to Suzette’s shirt, she would want to try out for Price’s modeling position. Brian, representing all keeping the pet population under control, marked a 5/6 today. Showcase #1 featured knee scrape insurance policies, pearl like bubbles, and a pirate causing a ruckus. Brain and Nicholas’ Showcase bid differences with bellow $1000, but it was our 1 Right Price champ who won with a price difference in the $300-$400 range.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6084)
(Original Air Date 10-20-2004)

Lucky 7: Anthony lost; Ford Mustang Convertible ($25,27 )

Coming or Going: Sarah wins by “Going”; Two Motorcycles ($5924)

Plinko: Florencine wins $300 with 5 Plinko Chips

Showcase Showdown #1: Florencine wins with 60 cents

Poker Game: Elaine wins; Tools, Table Set, Cat Tree, and Radio Vacuum

One Away: Victoria wins ; Jeep Wrangler ($18,465)

Now or Then: Lindsay wins (“Then” September 1996); Bed

Showcase Showdown #2: Lindsay wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Florencine wins; Living Room Group, Maid Service, and a Trip to New Zealand ($21,778 in prizes)

Ramona was the latest first four contestant this week to be wearing a particular type of hat. She would remain in Contestant’s Row throughout the show. That familiar music viewers hear during the opening, when a contestant is called to come on down, and when someone wins his/her on stage, continued to play even after the big doors opened for Bob’s entrance. After a few chuckles by me, the other piece of Price's theme played as Bob walked over for his microphone and to greet us. Unfortunately for Anthony, he lost the chance of owning a convertible not only as a mode of general transportation, but as a way to gather all the screaming fanatics (mostly female) for a ride. Florencine of Florida covered both the “0” and “$100” slots on the Plinko board. Sarah’s first Big Wheel score was only a nickel short of Florensine’s 60 cents. After the Turntable revealed an Old Time Gas Pump worth $2590, Bob had the pleasure of joking about how the show could afford such a prize in a time when gas prices can cost above $2.00. The rarely played Poker Game returns to be played by fairly new player named Elaine (previously I added “Joyce” to her last name for reasons “Match Game” fanatics may understand). Representing Travis Air Force Base, Victoria gave viewers a good laugh after her very own before asking for the “6” to be revealed. That very digit “attempted” to roll back to an “8”, but Bob caught it in the act. 95 cents came out up Lindsay’s first spin, making it nearly impossible for her fellow winners to beat it. Elaine wasn’t the only one to give some lengthy “hellos” to friends & family, but Bob allowed Lindsay and Florencine to do the same. Only future Showcase winner Florencine can be compared to Elaine’s length of “hellos”.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6083)
(Original Air Date 10-19-2004)

Safe Crackers: Inga lost (Combination $960); Karaoke and Ford Focus

Pass the Buck: Vishnu wins $6000 (3 Chances); Dodge Neon (Behind Card #2)

Barker’s Bargain Bar: Melissa lost ; Popcorn Cart and Exercise Machine (Bigger Bargain)

Showcase Showdown #1: Melissa wins with 70 cents

Cliffhangers: Francis lost; Trip to Ireland

Barker’s Markers: Judith wins (Gave Up $500 to win); Luggage, Guitar, and Baker’s Rack

Any Number: Ernesteen wins $6.51; Dodge Dakota ($19,270)

Showcase Showdown #!: Judith wins with 90 cents

Showcase: Double Overbid; “WPIR-AM with Shane” Showcase, Fireplace, Trailer, Water Gear, “The Price is Right Train Depot” Showcase, Dining Room Table, Arcade Game, and Bed

We discover a quite polite Francis among today’s first four contestants, who even addressed Bob as “Mr. Barker” after placing has bid. At the moment the “Locked” sign on the Safe Crackers’ safe was given some camera time, it was clear Inga of Tennessee went the wrong way in a 50/50 choice of combinations. I swore I heard a member of the audience (or specifically Inga’s crew) shout out “now you get back over here!” shortly after Inga failed to crack the safe. Florida’s very own Vishnu remembered his pappy’s words of wisdom before deciding to quit with a large sum of money, even though curious Bob forced him into picking what he first believed hid the car. Elizabeth representing a wedding party trio (two brides maids and the bride herslelf) joins Contestant’s Row. Nebraska’s real life cowgirl Melissa, a member of today’s first four contestants, finally escapes for a little bargain hunting. Due to financial reasons, Ernesteen’s name was written as “Ernest” on her nametag. This would be corrected in a jiffy, reassuring us that Price’s staff and entire show itself is nowhere near cheap. Viewer since birth Francis joins us to demonstrate what he’s learned over the past 18 years. May want to retake “Small $50 Refrigerators 101”, Francis. The last of today’s first four alumni escapes with Canadian pride from here to today’s Showcase. Ernesteen still bearing her improved nametag is given the chance of becoming a Dakota owner, but ended up with a piggy bank’s worth of dollars & cents. Showcase #1 featured Shane as a combination of Stern (glasses), Limbaugh (topics), and Mobile, Alabama’s Uncle Henry (excluding the call screening chastising). Brandi is the Train Depot’s conductor for the moment. In addition to this Double Overbid, the latest case of “adding insult to injury”, which Bob also considered an historic moment (for Double Showcase Overbids? Yep). Judith’s bid on the Train Depot Showcase was over by only $1 dollar, which was nothing new to Price if you look back at a certain 1974 airing. We end today’s show with Bob interacting with the audience, while Mr. Rich Fields, Shane, Brandi, and even Starr waved farewell to everyone witnessing today’s show.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6082)
(Original Air Date 10-18-2004)

Credit Card: John lost (Credit Limit $1600); Convection Oven ($350), Dining Room Table, Washstand ($299), Floor Clock, and Crystals ($844)

Dice Game: Edith lost; Dodge Caravan ($22,165)

Squeeze Play: Vicky wins; Electric Vehicle ($7595)

Showcase Showdown #1: John wins with 75 cents

Hit Me: Sean wins; Bedroom Group

Punch A Bunch: Brandon wins $5000 with 4 Punches

Money Game: Melissa wins ; Chevy Aveo ($14,035)

Showcase Showdown #2: Melissa wins with 80 cents

Showcase: John wins; “The Price is Right Dating Game” Showcase (featuring Brandi) , Dishwasher, Jukebox, and Pontiac GT Coup ($42,408 in prizes)

Today’s opening lineup begins with dollar signs on a Regina and a Vicky wearing a particular type of hat while in a gray skirt. Our two females must wait until John representing the Malone family (all in blue) finish purchasing some items by a rather large, yet seemly magical (credit limit’s early appearance) piece of plastic. Unfortunately, Aritha Malone’s bad credit advice put John in debt after picking the $1000+ Floor Clock. Edith (along with every off spring and her husband in the audience) were assured that the same Aritha would not participate in the decisions of whether to go higher or lower, depending on what price digit is rolled. It may have never happened, but bad luck still managed to slip into Edith’s Price experience from here to her second spin of Big Wheel. Before leaving the stage until the first Showdown, Edith expresses her true reason for visiting Price today, to see Bob up close. Vicky representing the hilly parts of Arkansas becomes the first contestant in many Squeeze Play appearances to finally conquer this game. Thank goodness Vicky had no thoughts of changing her decision during Bob’s discussion of a rather unique Arkansas hotel, featuring 8 floors of basement rooms. Here’s a “thanks” to the audience member reacting with great cheer during Rich’s description of the Peanut Butter featured in Hit Me, which gave Sean (wearing of USA Postal Service hat) the all important 10 (A Queen). Brandon finally escapes from being beside Regina (whom appeared to be co-workers at Television City, according to Bob) to take a quadruple of whacks at the Punchboard. It may not be $10,000, but Brandon was still happy with $5000 worth of college tuition money, plus some items of interest. Regina had only one chance left to escape Contestant’s Row, so she used it wisely for a lengthy moment, forcing Bob to beg for her bid. Almost a minute since Melissa placed her bid, she won her way on stage to play for a Chevy Avio. Showcase #1 Brandi, her other half of a “courtship” the Dishwasher, a giant key (leading up to a Pontiac), and a “KISS” (except for the graphic) straight from the original Chuck Barris program. Since she’s already the proud owner of a car, Melissa passed her game show parodying Showcase to Mr. John Malone. Melissa’s over and John wins, so make way for his fellow Malones, including sister Aritha.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6080)
(Original Air Date 10-14-2004)

2 For The Price of 1: Kathleen wins (Picked Middle Digit); Daybed ($832) and Trip to Cancun, Mexico

Grand Game: Alicia lost $1000 (Target Price $6.00)

That’s Too Much!: Charles wins; Ford Taurus ($20,320)

Showcase Showdown #1: Charles wins with 90 cents

Danger Price: Tommie Sue wins; Wine Cellar, Desk, Dinnerware ($628 was Danger Price), and Golf Set

Switcheroo: Robert wins Mixer ($80); Chevy Cavalier ($16,345)

Coming or Going: Yvonne lost by “Going”; Pool Table ($4395)

Showcase Showdown #2: Tommie Sue wins with 75 cents

Showcase: Tommie Sue wins; “Brandi Versus ‘Chopsticks’ Playing” Showcase, Piano, $1000 in cash, Stereo System, and Trip to Sydney, Australia ($22,707 in prizes)

Representing the great state of Alabama with Crimson Tide pride, Charles is summoned to escape a rather weird audience (well, the majority) that believes green houses cost $1. “You’re sick”, followed by a few chuckles was Bob’s response before revealing who bid the exact price of the Green House ($1200). Bethany was very aware her $1 bid (she was applauding for Kathleen) would never earn her a $500 bonus. After Joanne escaped a close encounter with a couple of fellows strangling each other (or so it seemed), Belle and Bouncer the Kitten Twins made their debut in front of an audience including a few certain ones worthy of becoming their proud owner. As of now, a majority of Alabamians, especially those at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and a certain weblogger who happens to type about Price each day have more pride than ever since Charles earned the chance the say and win “That’s Too Much!” The now 18-year-old Charles wished his Uncle Bill a happy birthday after his second Big Wheel spin, earning him the winning score of 90 cents. That camera shot of the Big Wheel coming to a complete stop and Charles’ victory jump reminded me of the old “Triangle Shot”, in case you long time Price viewers know what I mean. Robert, the same fellow who simply “lays it on me!” as Bob put it, finally escapes Contestant’s Row for his next assignment. After showing off his sci-fi and cartoon characteristics, Robert finally wins at least 1 prize (no matter what) with glee in his eyes. Our unique audience showed plenty of love for our red head named Bethany and our red-shirted fellow Elmo (“Elmo Loves Bob”, with 2 hearts) through chanting. Neither one reached the stage at the last possible moment, unfortunately. We had to say farewell to Robert early (so much energy saved for the Showcase) after going over during the second Showdown. No hard feelings by Yvonne after Tommie Sue eclipsed her score of 65 cents, just a feel claps while walking off stage. Even though Georgian peach Tommie Sue’s Showcase difference was greater, Charles stayed beside Bob to remind us to help control the pet population and have our pets spayed or neutered. Rich can be heard laughing before joining Tommie Sue and her crew on stage.

Charles & Tommie Sue (and lets not forget Louisiana's Alicia), the Southeast salutes y’all! Thank you and good day!

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6079)
(Original Air Date 10-13-2004)

Half Off: Jamie lost (1 Half; Picked Box #1); Box #15 contained $10,000

Range Game: Nathan wins; Gazebo ($6350)

3 Strikes: Dashan wins Cadillac Deville ($47,285)

Showcase Showdown #1: Dashan wins with 85 cents

One Wrong Price: Stacey wins; Fireplace, Grandfather Clock, and Sofa ($3112 was Wrong Price)

Money Game: Ruby wins; Dodge Neon ($15,865)

Pick A Pair: Glenda wins (Cleaner and Popcorn $3.99); Dining Room Group

Showcase Showdown #2: Ruby wins with 60 cents

Showcase: Ruby wins; “Chip” Showcase, Golf Equipment, Arcade Game, and Ford F-150, ($46,376 in prizes)

Interesting sights during the opening, Dashan appeared to be gearing up to punch somebody as he was coming on down and part of the curtains featuring the red CBS eye can be seen in the back. Here’s a historic moment (I checked the archives, yep memory served me right), Jamie is the first Half Off player ever to not rid more than 1 half of the 16 boxes featured on the 3 rows making up "Box Central" (found that in the archives too). Representing Lincoln Athletic Club and the entire state of Michigan, Nathan (not a firefighter, as Bob first assumed according to the shirt) manages to win himself a new home, oh pardon me. I mean new Gazebo and don’t expect him to take Bob’s word of selling his house. After winning himself Home Appliances worth $600 and a $500 bonus, Dashan guessed every single 3 Strikes position right without a strike until it was time to pull out the “8”. By the way, Rich won the bet after he said “bet you'd want a new Cadillac!” and Bob coincidentally guessed Dashan’s year of birth (1976, the Bicentennial of the USA) while coming up with a year which was supposely the last time a 3 Strikes contestant won without a single strike. “Lets keep it going”, said Dashan after his first spin of the Big Wheel and he was right. Ruby bearing a red shirt (fits her name perfectly) showed plenty of affection as she made the stroll to her spot in Contestant’s Row. She happened to be so excited that she forgot what she’s bidding on. Ruby’s sudden state of forgetfulness had no affect on her bid, which earned her $500 and a chance at becoming the owner of a Dodge Neon. It may not be red, but Ruby is too excited and glad to care. Audience opinion didn’t stop Glenda from picking Poppycock Popcorn as another item priced at $3.99. As the audience chanted her name, home wheel spinner Ruby (with Bob’s help) spun her way to becoming a Showcase contestant. Reaction toward Dashan’s bid (about $29,000) for a Showcase consisting of a Bedroom Group and Trip to Switzerland was negative for obvious reasons. We end today’s show with Ruby & Company taking a stroll to the F-150. Rich can been seen clapping for her.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6077)
(Original Air Date 10-11-2004)

Eazy Az 1, 2, 3: Joseph wins; Server Clock, Refrigerator, and Curio Clock

It’s In The Bag: Bertha lost $4000

One Away: Lori wins; Chrysler PT Cruiser ($25,820)

Showcase Showdown #1: Joseph wins with 70 cents

Barker’s Bargain Bar: Connie wins; Trip to Chicago and Santa Fe (Bigger Bargain)

Master Key: Heather wins with Master Key; Flatware, PGA Chest, and Chevy Aveo

Pick A Number: John wins (Picked “1”); Bed ($8159)

Showcase Showdown#2: John wins with 90 cents

Showcase: Joseph wins; Cruise to the Mediterranean and Exercise Equipment ($21,860 in prizes)

Before becoming the proud owner of a Bubble Chair (tested by Sonia), Joseph representing the University of North Dakota is the latest piece of the “3 Ladies & a Fellow” pattern for first four contestants. No need for the audience to take up a collection Joseph, they should be patting themselves on the back for taking part in his “Eazy” victory. In addition to this “Easy” theme in pricing games, It’s In The Bag was played by the state of Mary Land’s (Like Bob, I also pronounce it this way) very own Bertha. Unfortunately for her, the $4000 prize, and Bob, Cat Chow doesn’t amount in the price range of light bulbs. Negative audience reaction toward changing the 4th digit to “2” never changed Lori’s mind, allowing her to raise everyone’s spirits and chances of winning in the same spot where Bertha once stood. Speaking of our It’s In The Bag player, despite losing $4000 and going over $1.00 on the Big Wheel, she still enjoyed the Price experience. Contestant Ruby and husband Adran are quite proud of their 50 years together, since both are wearing red “50 Years Together” shirts including the years 1954-2004. Yovanda’s name resembles a certain other, yet famous name from Price’s rich past, but later Bob would learn that her name is not “Yolanda” or even “Yoyanda”, according to her name tag’s hand writing. From Kansas, the land of Dorothy Gale and Mary Ann Summers, Heather slowly walks toward Bob on the Turntable for one her long awaited hug. Sorry Heather, according to Bob this marriage plan formalizing since age 2 would have only worked 57 years ago. Before telling Rebecca that his Pick A Number choice is “1”, Bob suggested to John forget about this president stuff after reading his “Vote Bob for President” shirt. John’s Showcase #2 featured all 31 Baskin-Robbins flavors, Traffic Cones & a Motorcycle, and Rebecca holding pinecones in front of a Trailer.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6122)
(Original Air Date 12-15-2004)

Pushover: Yvonne wins; Ford Focus ($15,165)

That’s Too Much: Samuel wins; Jeep Wrangler ($18,765)

Half Off: Jill lost (2 Halves, Picked Box #5); Box #11 contained $10,000

Showcase Showdown #1: Yvonne wins with 90 cents

Swap Meet: Stephanie wins (Swap Price: $500 for Camera); Desk, Curio Floor Clock, and Vacuum ($500)

Let ‘Em Roll: Delia wins (2 Rolls); Dodge Neon

Double Prices: Esther wins; 47-inch TV Set ($3499)

Showcase Showdown #2: Delia wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Delia wins; Speaker System, Kitchen Group, and Cruise the Orient ($35,480 in prizes)

Esther representing today’s first four lineup was Bob’s latest victim when kidding around after she asked if the trip to the Grand Canyon price includes hotel costs (Bob responded with “no, you sleep in the parking lot”, gaining plenty of applause from the audience and a smile on Esther). Oki (Oklahoma resident) Yvonne is in no doubt a heroine now in her small hometown of about 5500, minus her and her crew in the audience on today’s show. Lieutenant Samuel of the U.S. Navy is reminded that even on Price, you can never give away too many automobiles, or in this case a Jeep. After Bob took Samuel back to the days of the naval academy, Samuel came back with an excellent shout of “That’s Too Much!” When the time came to stop, for reasons unknown Samuel responded by saying he wanted to stay. Since our audience and Bob are so kind, Samuel was allowed to have another chance at giving us the same version of a “That’s Too Much!” as done previously. Jill may have rid 2 halves of the 16 boxes featured on Half Off’s rows known here as “Box Central”, but good old #5 was not a lucky number today, which would have been confirmed if all 3 halves were earned. After a Showcase Showdown in which our lieutenant was forced to spin the Big Wheel again on a score of 80 cents, with leader Yvonne the Oki at 90 cents, our entire audience was silent to the point of almost no breathing. Fortunately, no faces were blue even before Rich summoned our next contestant to come on down. Delia answered Bob’s question of where’s she from, which was Florida but due to 4 hurricanes she left the state for Pennsylvania, which made Bob reconsider ever asking such a question.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6106)
(Original Air Date 11-11-2004)

Make Your Move: Michelline wins; Salad Maker ($50), Dining Room Table ($814), and Cruise to Alaska ($3478)

Hole in One: Duane wins (Putts from Last Line + $500 bonus); Chevy Impala

Race Game: Sean wins (14 seconds left) ; Day Bed, Stemware, Gumball Machine, and Refrigerator Freezer

Showcase Showdown #1: Sean wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Double Prices: Kimmy wins; Catamaran ($4195)

Card Game: Sandra wins (within $1500); Ford Mustang Coup ($18,345)

Cliffhangers: Darryl wins (12 Steps); Living Room Group

Showcase Showdown #2: Kimmy wins with 90 cents

Showcase: Sean wins; “Match” Showcase, Tennis Equipment, Camping Equipment, and Ford Focus Pair ($38,841 in prizes)

It was a struggle for Michelline as she escapes the audience row for her temporary spot in Contestant’s Row, but she managed to get out in one complete piece for not only that spot, but to give a fellow audience member a high five. As for Darryl, he didn’t quite make it to his spot before Bob made his entrance. During the first bidding process, the audience was beyond silence this time, a rarity in which Bob acknowledged of course. Our audience finally came around Price wise as Michelline made various combinations ($03 Salad Maker, I’m sure she didn’t mean to leave it that way) and overlaps during Make Your Move until the perfect audience reaction is heard. Darryl may have not been listening to whoever told him to bid $1, but $1000 was not close enough to earn the chance at testing his putting skills. The audience came for guidance for another contestant and that would be Duane on his way to the rarely played from Last Line in Hole in One. Before making his winning putt, Bob was up & ready to make his much anticipated inspiration putt, but due to a certain caddy tampering with his putter, he allowed Shane to imspire golfers for the moment. Remember folks, Hole in One is Price’s version of miniature golf, so don’t ever putt the ball as hard as our caddy in either game. Kimmy made her way around the audience to her spot in Contestant’s Row, but no encore performance. Price loyalist and Celtics fanatic (or specifically, a Bird fan) Sean went from “0” to “4” prices correct during the race every loyalist would want to attempt. So far, we have perfect show and Sean celebrating his day of birth has added a $1000 win on the Big Wheel to both today’s extravaganza and his gift package. Kimmy (another form of Kimberly) recognized that she didn’t want to be end up becoming the contestant to mess today’s perfect show, which never happened to her or anyone else. Sandra wearing a patriotic shirt successfully conquered the Card Game with only a difference in the $700-$800 range from the Coup’s actual price. Darryl finally escapes Contestant’s Row giving Bob the chance to welcome him (a Canadian) to both the USA and Price, earning the position of protecting Cliffhangers’ famous mountain climber, and capping off a perfect show. The “Fiery” Showcase Sean passed for one with the pair of cars featured bottles of hot sauce, a green fireplace, a trip to Tahiti, and a Mercury Sable. Sean’s Showcase bid didn’t have the chance to show up until after the commercial break. While both Showcase bids almost had a difference of $11,000, but it was Sean’s difference in the $9,000-$10,000 that won himself a “Match” theme Showcase.

Golden Road: Rebecca lost; Dining Room Table ($581) Washer & Dryer ($1568), and Dodge Viper

Grand Game: Velma lost $1000 (Target Price $5.50)

Bonkers: Teresa wins (in 5 ½ seconds); Bed ($4780)

Showcase: Velma wins; “Secrets of the American Revolution” Showcase, Diamond Ring, Floor Clock, and Travel Trailer ($23,216 in prizes)

Bob made his latest entrance down the aisle, giving lucky members of the audience memorable high fives; could this be a sign of surprises to come? Indeed a surprise was coming and Rebecca wearing a shirt bearing the famous Plinko sign (with chip) soon to return someday (by popular support, hopefully) was completely unaware until Bob finally got to say “over $86,000!” when speaking about our next prize at the end of the road of gold. Despite missing the opportunity of viewing a Viper up close at least, Rebecca enjoyed the trip down the Golden Road. It was clear as most crystal balls that Velma is from Florida according to her “I survived Charley, Ivan, Francis” shirt, which is also on the backs and stomachs of her crew in the audience. Don’t worry about Velma after falling to the floor at the end of her Grand Game playing, if she can survive those storms she’ll eventually survive today’s show. After the first break, Bob whispered to Rich an important correction of the pronunciation of Contestant’s Row Dionna, which can be heard almost clearly by a majority of the audience and viewers. Former sprinter (yet a short argument between Teresa and Bob on who she actually was would occur shortly) Teresa escapes Contestant’s Row, figures the right combinations of “higher” and “lower” in Bonkers, and finishes the job in only 5 ½ seconds without a single mistake. Our survivor Velma made it through the humiliation of audience boos after a weak spin and took a spot in today’s Showcase, but as for Rebecca who knows (I assure y’all she survived her moment of booing, too). Patricia of Chicago made the clear decision in today’s playing of “Switch?” since Bar Sets around $1000 can be considered a rarity on the show. Both Michael and Dionna remain in Contestant’s Row, but only one of these smiling players with escape today. Hockey player David representing his team attending the show relied on both only 1 chance and the possibility that someone forgot to place the “Win” tag behind one of the 5 price tags. Audience and Bob’s favorite Michael finally escapes with the highest bid in Contestant’s Row for a playing of Squeeze Play. The twin digits of “7” may have appeared awkward, but not today in Squeeze Play. No weak spins were seen during Showcase Showdown #2, folks. Our first Showcase featured “red coats” sleeping, a Diamond Rings reflecting light, and a padlock on the door of a Trailer. We end today’s excursion into Price’s best with our announcer Rich giving Velma and her crew well earned handshakes.

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6234)

Half Off: Mary lost (1 Half and Box #13); Box #8 contained $10,000

Clock Game: Mark wins (10 seconds left); Sofa ($699) and Barbecue Grill ($899) (+$1000)

Money Game: Nicole wins; Ford Focus ($16,727)

Showcase Showdown #1: Mary wins with 95 cents

Most Expensive: Brandon lost; Exercise Equipment, Guitars (Most Expensive), and Washer/Dryer

Hit Me: Rebecca wins (Hits 21); Trip to Cabo San Lucas

Cover Up: Stephanie lost; Ford Ranger ($15,941)

Showcase Showdown #2: Brandon wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Brandon wins; “Double Showcase Winner”, Digital Camera, Trip to the Grand Canyon, Miami, and Dodge Caravan; Dining Room Group, 20-inch TV Set, and Hot Tub ($41,400 in prizes)

Mary was close to playing Half-Off with all 16 boxes of “Box Central”, but managed to choose one item that is priced 50% off the actual retail price, thus removing half of the boxes on display. Before Mark made his first guess in the Clock Game, a certain price in the $600-$699 range almost came out of him. Nicole never found a dollar sign on the Money Game board. Second half of today’s show began not only with the addition of Brandon in the all female Contestant’s Row, but also with the introduction of Naomi the Dog. Brandon may have made the wrong choice in Most Expensive, but the outcome of spinning the Big Wheel would lead to a surprise ending. Today’s Showcases featured an USA holiday, a Dodge van, and a Dining Room Group. Brandon’s even bid was enough to win both Showcases, just one day before the last show taped for Year 33 airs. Good day!

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6233)

Lucky 7: Anne lost; Pontiac Grand Prix ($24,651)

It’s In The Bag: Geraldine wins $16,000

Take Two: Kara wins (Dining Table and Clock Total $3820); Banjo and Small Electronics

Showcase Showdown #1: Geraldine wins with $1.00 + 80 cents ($1000)

Coming or Going: Dorothy wins by “Going”; Trip to Hawaii ($4876)

Bonus Game: Charles wins (Square #2 contained Bonus); Bedroom Group

That’s Too Much: John lost; Dodge Ram ($23,370)

Showcase Showdown #2: Dorothy wins with 60 cents

Showcase: Double Overbid; Arcade Cabinet, Pool Table, Pinball Machine, and Trip to Monte Carlo; Pair of Global Positioning Systems (GPA), Luggage, and Ford 500

Anne celebrated her 60 years of life on today’s show and it would continue to be a happy one no matter happens after escaping Contestant’s Row. Geraldine turned 70 years of age days before today’s show, but it would be after her It’s In The Bag victory that she would mention it. Both Geraldine and Kara, the bride of a future banjo player scored $1.00 in Showcase Showdown #1, thus earning $1000. Charles of Canada’s bid of $1200, while displayed as $1300, was one particular perfect bid that Bob never waited to reveal. Either Price is speeding things again for the sake of commercials or they are doing viewers (loyal and casual) a favor. John representing the USA’s Navy was under the sound of “boos” from members of the studio audience during his “That’s Too Much!” audition before redeeming himself for the game. Dorothy was close to spinning the Big Wheel for a second time after scoring 60 cents, but managed to stop herself in less than a second. Today’s Showcases featured a carpenter/plumber, a gorilla, and a Ford automobile named “500”. We end today’s show with two contestants confirmed to be happy and Bob meeting members of the audience.

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6232)

Money Game: Adam wins; Chevy Cobalt ($16,832)

Punch A Bunch: Nicholas wins $500 with 4 punches

Buy or Sell: Janice lost (-$500); Day Bed, Refrigerator, and Golf Set

Showcase Showdown #1: Adam wins with 95 cents

Double Prices: Arthur wins; Hot Tub ($5125)

Cover Up: Elizabeth wins; Chevy Colorado ($23,412)

Showcase Showdown #2: Terri wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Showcase: Terri wins; “Sayless Shoes” Showcase, DVD Player, Range, and Sailboat ($31,080 in prizes)

Before showing how loyal he truly is, Adam wanted to know the name of his future automobile again. During Punch A Bunch, Nicholas’ decision to give up the $1000 slip for two slips slightly lower, $50 and $500 followed a moment of indecision with his crew in the audience, including a sister under the named Erin. Shortly after Janice had both feet on stage, she used them to dance slowly with Bob. During the first appearance of the Big Wheel, Janice revealed that she actually stayed at Television City since the other afternoon before joining today’s show. It appeared that Janice scored $1.00 on the Big Wheel until she and Bob realized that the wheel never made a complete spin, causing boos from the audience for one reason or another. Representing a quad of graduates (consisting of three Air Force fellows and a Marine) from the USA’s military academies was Air Force academy graduate Arthur. Today’s Showcases featured shoes, a Golf Set, and a Sailboat. We end today’s Show with Terri in the center of her gang in pink shirts surrounding the black shirt one.

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6230)

Most Expensive: Mira lost; Washer/Dryer, Treadmill, and Wall Clock (Most Expensive)

Plinko: Matthew wins $600 with 5 Plinko chips

Temptation: Ellen lost; Espresso Machine, Drum Set, Bowl of Cash, Bar Set, and Dodge Caravan ($19,340)

Showcase Showdown #1: Matthew wins with 95 cents

Side By Side: Julie wins (Right Side); Trip to Ireland ($4688)

Card Game: Frank lost ($1000 Card); Ford Focus ($19,150)

Pick A Pair: Helen wins (Pair of Gelatin and Index Cards 69 cents); Patio Furniture and Hot Tub

Showcase Showdown #2: Helen wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Matthew wins; Eveningwear, Bedroom Group, and Snowmobile ($20,650 in prizes)

Mira represented Columbia State University today while wearing an Ohio sweater either to honor her parents teaching there, to fulfill their wish of her wearing the sweater, or a combination of both. Remember folks, $600 is more money than most employees would earn on a non-pay day. Price loyalist since Show #1 and Houston, Texas resident Ellen actually had to wait over 30 years to finally kiss Bob, something that was proudly displayed on her shirt before her call to come on down. Ellen would need Bob’s help at the Big Wheel after her first spin didn’t make it go around completely, causing a moment of booing from very few members of the audience. Before Julie made the correct decision in Side By Side, it was revealed that she’s of Irish heritage, plus her shirt happens to be the traditional color of green. Frank seemed very excited about the Card Game’s new blue margin deck, but unfortunately fear kept this fellow from adding to his bid of $15,000 with a margin of only $1000. Ever since joining Contestant’s Row, Helen of South Dakota wanted to hug Bob, and she got her wish at the very last moment. She was lucky Television City security was aware that Bob was never in need of rescue from this lengthy hug. After saying “hello” to family back home, Helen’s first spin of the Big Wheel would gain her 95 cents, enough to put her in the mood of another hug. Instead of Bob, he directed Helen toward Roger near the producers’ corner. Before the Showcases were revealed, Bob instructed Helen that if her outcome is a win, she hugs one of Price’s cameramen, who was given time on screen himself. Today’s Showcases featured a Snowmobile, a marriage counselor, and a trip to Las Vegas as a suggestion. Before Matthew’s Showcase price was revealed, he held on to Helen’s shoulder if the winning outcome comes to him. We end today’s show in the new bedroom.

(Folks, a week from today Price’s Year 33 will conclude.)

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6229)

Shopping Spree: Kim wins ($6000 to spend); Cotton Candy Machine, Cabinet, Motorcycle, and Crib

Spelling Bee: Michelle spells C-A-R (5 Cards); Chrysler PT Cruiser

Pushover: Jacqueline wins ; Piano ($4695)

Showcase Showdown #1: Jacqueline wins with 80 cents

Switch?: Erlinda lost by “staying”; 30-inch TV Set and Dining Room Table

Grand Game: Alveria lost $1000 (Target Price: $6.00)

One Away: Kelley wins; Pontiac Sunfire ($17,841)

Showcase Showdown #2: Kelley wins with 85 cents

Showcase: Kelley wins; Cappuccino Machine, Washer/Dryer, and Ford Explorer ($48,484 in prizes)

Representing “the great state of Washington” and openly celebrating 50 years of life was new Motorcycle owner Kim. Michelle making up a family of Price fanatics earned 3 more cards in Spelling Bee the moment she priced the first small item exactly right. Before Bob could finally reveal the Piano’s price in Pushover, Price’s theme can already be heard signaling the commercial break. Much of Alveria’s nametag was kept beneath her jacket on and off stage, leaving viewers interested in her name without a clue of its spelling. Speaking of names, everyone is reminded that anyone can be named “Kelley”, including this particular fellow who conquered One Away without a single mistake after asking “Ladies, do I have all five numbers right?”. Both Alveria and Erlinda needed help at the Big Wheel, but it was Kelley who would prevail at the very end. Today’s Showcases featured Miss Miser, a Ford Explorer, and trips to the Bahamas & Fiji. We end today’s show with Kelley and his crew wearing yellow shirts reminding folks to help control the pet population.

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6228)

Step Up: Brandon lost; Carrousel, Crib, Sofa, and Cookware

Pathfinder: Kevin lost (stepped on “3”); Ford Mustang ($23,214)

Clock Game: Precious wins; Bistro Table ($799) and Refrigerator ($999) (+$1000)

Showcase Showdown #1: Brandon wins with 60 cents

Coming or Going: Douglas wins by “Going”; Trip to London ($7116)

Pass the Buck: Michael wins $4000 (Car Behind Card #1); Chevy Cobalt

Pick A Number: Joseph lost (picked “7”); Gazebo ($6350)

Showcase Showdown #2: Joseph wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Showcase: Joseph wins; “Batteries Are Included” Showcase, MP3 Player, Scooter, and Pontiac GTO ($40,186 in prizes)

Brandon “The Smaller Price is Right Fan” (opposite “The Taller Price is Right” in the audience) according to his shirt walked the numbers of Pathfinder before coming to a complete stop the moment he lost another chance at pricing the Ford automobile. Precious joined today’s show about 29 years after her grandmama joined Price’s studio audience. While bearing witness to the legendary Clock Game, Precious skipped the rest of the supposed prices between $790-$799 shortly before saying $799. Douglas always wanted to visit London, England and he proved himself worthy of the expensive trip by choosing “Going’s” price of $7116. Representing a group of Marines and the state of Hawaii was Michael, who previously complimented our host with “you are a great American, Bob” seconds after being called to come on down. Before escaping Contestant’s Row at the very last moment, former Army man Joseph shook Bob’s hand before making his winning bid. This event in Joseph’s 33-year relationship with Price was worth a second hand shake, aside from his outcome in Pick A Number. In Showcase Showdown #2, Bob would learn before the spins that Joseph would give $11,000 to his wife Ruth, Michael would give his prize money to his wife back in Honolulu, and Douglas would pay for the meals of his crew in yellow. Today’s Showcases featured two automobiles (Jeep Wrangler and Pontiac GTO), a trainee for a branch of the Service, and an Apple “I-Pod”. It appeared that Joseph’s Showcase difference was not enough to win, but everyone would be shocked to learn about Brandon actually going over his Showcase price by very little. We end this week’s worth of shows with Joseph and Ruth celebrating on stage.

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6227)

Freeze Frame: Stephanie lost; Entertainment Center and 37-inch TV Set ($6838)

Cover Up: Shirley wins; Dodge Neon ($16,359)

Plinko: Sheila wins $11,500 with 4 Plinko chips

Showcase Showdown #1: Stephanie wins with 90 cents

Switch?: Christopher wins by “staying”; Trip to Boston and Barbados

Hi Lo: Leonard wins; Exercise Equipment

Any Number: Beverly wins Board Games ($417); Dodge Dakota ($20,835)

Showcase Showdown #2: Leonard wins with 70 cents

Showcase: Stephanie wins; Dining Room Group, Strawberries, and Grand Piano ($23,850 in prizes)

Newly married couple Shawn and Stephanie joined today’s show in person, but only one of them would make it into Contestant’s Row and on stage by beating neighbor Shirley’s bid by one dollar. This type of loss for Shirley would come back to haunt Stephanie in the form of her own will to freeze a price only two digits away from the Entertainment Center’s actual price. Could Shirley’s pat on the back before Stephanie stepped on stage be the reason behind her quick loss in Freeze Frame? The game Shirley would play happens to include a prize perfect for her, a new automobile since her previous one is now under the control of a grandson. After finding out that the “1” was the only correct digit, Shirley was on her way to becoming a Dodge owner thanks this strategy, or so it appears to be. Sheila’s shyness of the audience during Plinko prompted numerous chants of it “drop it!”. As Sheila slowly went down the stairs, Bob reminded viewers of Showcase Showdown #1 coming up before going to commercials. Audience chants for Sheila would continue into this Showdown for a spot in the Showcase. Christopher representing the Marines for about 2 years will be on an expensive holiday from Boston to Barbados after today’s show. The same Beverly who claimed to have broken her arm in order to have Bob sign her cast leaves Contestant’s Row to play for a Dodge truck, a wall of board games, or a piggy bank’s worth of prize money. Audience chanting would return for Leonard at the Big Wheel. Today’s Showcases featured a ghost not worthy of Casper’s character, a victim of practical joking, and a Grand Piano. We end today’s show in the new dining room.

(Million Dollar Spectacular #15 is now set to air sometime in September. This is one long, yet worthy walk to see night time's latest millionaire. Wink!)

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (#6226)

Flip Flop: Lorna lost by “flipping”; Trip to New York City ($5357)

Hole in One (or Two): Breanne lost (Line 2); Pontiac Sunfire

Barker’s Bargain Bar: Stacey wins; Chair and Popcorn Machine (Bargain of $2000)

Showcase Showdown #1: Breanne wins with 95 cents

Poker Game: William wins; Backpacks, Dining Room Table, Cat Tree Tower, and Chest

That’s Too Much: Gloria lost; Chevy Equinox ($22,020)

Secret X: Robert lost (X in the Middle); Living Room Group

Showcase Showdown #2: Robert wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Breanne wins; “Phoebe Phobic” Showcase, Sauna, Cruise to Alaska, and Boat ($39,774 in prizes)

Our studio audience guided Lorna of Vermont into flipping rather than flopping her way on a New York holiday, courtesy of Price and Flip Flop. Before bouncing on stage in celebration,, Breanne did the same thing while handling fellow contestant Stacey shortly after her call to come on down. Bob reminds viewers of the Hole in One slump he’s been for quite a while in Year 33, but thanks to head prop man Greg finding a new putter and some practice, our host made a perfect inspirational putt today. After Bob’s comeback today, it’s likely that Breanne may practice her putting as well. The same Stacey who started a bouncing sensation in Contestant’s Rowwould escape for Price’s very own Bargain Bar. Gloria was so happy after the Chevy automobile was revealed, our announcer Rich was close to laughter while trying to describe her prize. Shortly after an excellent shout of “That’s Too Much!”, Gloria skipped each word of that phrase for her own version of staying on a price she believes is too high for the car. William gained 90 cents on the Big Wheel, but unfortunately for him the chance of beating Robert was neighboring nothing. Today’s Showcases featured an alleged German with a phobia, more furniture prizes for Robert, and a Motorcycle. The actual price of Breanne’s Showcase may have been a lot more, but Robert’s overbid would determine the outcome of today’s Showcase. Breanne’s celebration with her crew, including a close member of the family was worth the extra camera angles. Yep, the audience and our top winner today were included in the same camera shot.
