Shell Game: Cindy lost with 2 Shells (First Shell); Chrysler PT Cruiser
Let ‘Em Roll: Eino wins $1000; Chevy Equinox
Safe Crackers: Joseph wins (Combination 850); Portable Sound System and Hot Tub
Showcase Showdown #1: Joseph wins with 45 cents
Most Expensive: Christopher lost; Golf Equipment, Drum Set (Most Expensive), and Dining Room Table
That’s Too Much: Robin wins; Ford Escape ($19,995)
Showcase: Joseph wins; “Cancelled TV Shows” Showcase, Treadmill, Range, and Ford 500 ($34,268 in prizes)
The ball Cindy was looking for in Shell Game turned out to be in front of her the whole time. Before turning 80 years of age on the next day, Eino earned an early gift of $1000 courtesy of the show. The Big Doors that revealed Safe Crackers were already open for Bob and Joseph today, but the introduction of the prizes (including the music) remains the same. "Most Expensive!" said Christopher as the Big Doors opened. After the price of the Drum Set was revealed, Christopher said, "that's the one!" before both he and Bob asked Roger in the producers' corner if its possible that he can change his mind at this point of the game. During rehearsel, Robin did a good shout of "That's Too Much!", but when the time was right she didn't "want to go" anymore. Representing a group of sailors of the USA's Navy was Thao, who received many shouts of "8" during today's game of Squeeze Play. Today's Showcase featured hallucinations, a Cruise of the Greek Islands, and the 2006 Ford 500. We end today's show with Joseph celebrating in front of the automobile.
Make Your Move: Joseph wins; Cookie Press ($25) Sofa ($913) , and TV Set ($3499)
Pass the Buck: Nicole wins; Chevy Cobalt (Behind Card #3)
Magic #: Concepcion lost (Magic Number $664); Luggage and Trip to Sequoia in Southern California
Showcase Showdown #2: Nicole wins with $1.00 ($1000)
Showcase: Nicole wins; “The Price is Right Coffeehouse” Showcase, Pair of GPS Devices, Spa, and Trailer; Sleepwear, Bedroom Group, and All Terrain Vehicle ($58,904 in prizes)
Numerous members of the audience disagreed with Bruna’s choice of the Guitars in Swap Meet, forcing her to hesitate for a few seconds before confirming her decision for Bob. Jerrice’s husband Ron in the audience proved to be great help throughout the Range Game from the moment he stuck out his finger to the few seconds he signaled for her to stop. Before Ashley made her escape from Contestant’s Row, Bob mentioned for viewers that Luann of the audience has figured out what his age will be in the number of seconds once December 12th arrives. “2,654,890,680 seconds”, according to Luann. Ashley’s mother Jill happens to be a former contestant from years ago. Unfortunately, like Jill who walked the Golden Road that included a Travel Trailer, Ashley was also disappointed that she won’t be returning home as the proud owner of a new vehicle. Joseph was not the only marine to come on down today, as fellow marine Casey would later mistake hearing our announcer Rich summon him. Nicole answered the question Bob’s “ridiculous” question by saying “no” to the idea of choosing another number from the Pass the Buck board. Concepcion raised the Magic # lever higher for only one second before returning to her normal, yet slow pace. Today’s Showcase featured Price’s very own coffeehouse, a Trailer, and an All Terrain Vehicle. Nicole’s Showcase bid had a difference of $8, making her today’s Double Showcase Winner.
Barker’s Bargain Bar: Garnet wins; Ski Equipment and Chair (Bargain of $1000)
Hole in One: James wins (Putts from Line 5); Ford Mustang
Bonkers: Amy wins (20 seconds left); Trip to Chicago
Showcase Showdown #1: James wins with 70 cents
One Wrong Price: Wallace wins; Motorcycle ($1416), Accordion, and Sofa,
Any Number: Ruth wins; Ford Focus ($18,970)
Cliffhangers: Patricia wins (22 steps); Bedroom Group
Showcase Showdown #2: Patricia wins with 70 cents
Showcase: James wins; “Rhonda Rivet, Construction Worker” Showcase, Sewing Machine, Laptop Computer, and Chevy Colorado ($46,548 in prizes)
Garnet will be returning to Zelienople, Pennsylvania with more than her friends and family back home had expected. Marine James was only one putting line away from earning a $500 bonus and the chance to putt from the last line in Hole in One. Before the small items were introduced, we would learn that James is also a golfer, but this never stopped Bob from attempting to make another perfect inspiration putt, which never happened unfortunately. After Wallace was asked if he carefully studied the prices featured in One Wrong Price, viewers and members of the audience were surprised to learn what he was really paying attention to. All I can say is that a very interesting audience reaction (“woo!”) occurred shortly after Wallace answered Bob’s question. Ruth only chose one number outside of the Ford automobile’s price, which belonged to the Dining Room Table. Patricia may have been thinking about $40 being the correct price for the Massager featured last in Cliffhangers, but she probably decided to play it safe by saying “$50” instead. Today’s Showcase featured various pieces of exercise equipment, a Trip to Tahiti, “Rhonda Rivet”, and a Chevy Colorado. We end the 72nd perfect show in Price’s history with James and his fellow marines celebrating around the new truck.
Race Game: Barbara lost; Guitar, Stemware, Tennis Equipment, and Globe
Half Off: Lisa wins $10,000 (3 Halves and Box #14)
Showcase Showdown #1: Lisa wins with 90 cents
Coming or Going: Kaye wins by “Going”; Water Bicycles ($6128)
Cover Up: Travis lost; Chevy Cobalt ($16,732)
Pick A Pair: Mary Ruth wins (Candy and Supplement cost $6.99); Trip to Bangkok, Thailand
Showcase Showdown #2: Kaye wins with 90 cents
Showcase: Lisa wins; “Annie the Ant” Showcase, Refrigerator, Pool Table, and Ford Explorer ($47,616 in prizes)
The timing was off by one second between Bob’s entrance from the Big Doors and our announcer Rich’s introduction, resulting in “…and now, here’s our host the star of The Price is Right…(one second pause)…Bob Barker!” Misty joined today’s show wearing an Alabama Crimson Tide shirt and hat with the teams’ logo. Barbara had at least two price tags beside their respective prizes in the Race Game at one point, but her downfall began when she decided to switch one of those tags with another prize. After successfully choosing all three items that are half-priced, Lisa of Oklahoma only had Box #1 and Box #14 to choose from. Before opening Box #14, Lisa asked if she could remove the box top completely. Before anybody else could help, our Half Off winner decided to pick up most of the $10,000 in cash on her own. Kaye will be sharing one of those Water Bicycles she won in Coming or Going with her husband Earnest in the audience. The only price digit Travis left out in Cover Up was the “2”. Celebrating her day of birth on today’s show was Mary Ruth, whose choice of expensive Jelly Belly candy and some Airborne supplement in Pick A Pair earned her a trip to Thailand. Before Showcase Showdown #2 can begin, Kathy Greco of the producers’ corner and contestant Paul were invited on stage to perform a dance known as “The Gator” along with some music. Greco’s last “Gator” dance on the show was in 1986. Today’s Showcases featured a human-size ant, a Ford Explorer, and The Price is Right Tugboat tugging the prizes featured in the “Port O’ Price” Showcase. Lisa’s Showcase bid may have been too low, but Kaye went over as expected by the audience. We end today’s show with Lisa getting in and out of the Ford automobile’s passenger side.
Squeeze Play: John wins (removes “2”); Trip to the Caribbean ($8546)
Card Game: Catherine lost ($1000 Margin); Jeep Wrangler ($19,850)
Plinko: Marie wins $20,500 with 3 Plinko chips
Showcase Showdown #1: Catherine wins with 95 cents
Bullseye: Patrick wins (Hits $11.96); Golf Cart and Golf Set
Money Game: Maria wins; Ford Focus ($17,235)
Step Up: Ian wins Popcorn Machine and Motorcycle (+$500); Model Ship and Dining Room Table
Showcase Showdown #2: Patrick wins with 70 cents
Showcase: Catherine wins; Living Room Group, Dance Lessons, and Jukebox ($17,377 in prizes)
For the first time I have noticed a dark “TV-G” rating during the opening of the show, but it makes no difference in this age of screen clutter on television. Before John learned whether he removed the right digit in Squeeze Play or not, Bob asked members of the audience, including anybody from the Caribbean about the correct pronunciation about that area of the world. “CAH-RIB-be-en”, said one member of the audience and that is John’s next stop after today’s show. This moment reinforces the educational value of the show, as Bob reminded viewers after the first break. Catherine actually had a bid of $18,200 before stopping at $18,000 in the Card Game. Marie’s congregation in the audience helped after the last small item in Plinko was revealed. According to Bob, if Marie had all five Plinko chips, “the show would have been broke” financially. Patrick of the USA’s Navy hit between $10-$12 on the Bullseye with the purchase of four Peanut Butter jars priced a $2.99. Ian stopped after choosing the Motorcycle in Step Up, since choosing the Popcorn Cart turned out to be a bad choice. Today’s Showcase featured Dance Lessons, a Jukebox, Gold Bars, and a 2006 model Pontiac Grand Prix. We end today’s show with Catherine nowhere near her prizes, as the show went to the split screen credits a little quicker today.
